What is your most memorable wedding?
This is such a hard question! They're honestly all memorable as every one is unique.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Natural, unobtrusive, real, elegant, timeless
What about your business are you most proud of?
I am most proud of the high quality images I produce and my determination to go one better each and every wedding.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Buy a wedding journal to help keep track of timings, suppliers, chosen packages and also record memorable highlights of your wedding planning!
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
One of my favourites, being a very geeky photographer, was a vintage movie inspired wedding in which the couple displayed their photo negatives as part of their decorations.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Usually we have a consultation which allows me and the couples to get to know a little more about each other and ensure we tick (after all you've got to spend a day with me right?😄), if after the meeting you still like me and are confident I'm the photographer for you we go through booking forms, deposits and contracts. From there, I'm available to chat at any time and more than happy to help give advice and guidance in regards to weddings. We then meet one month before the big day to settle the final balance and go through timings, plans for photos, back up plans, scouting the venue etc. The next step is THE BIG DAY where I arrive as planned and capture all of the happenings and emotion. Post-wedding it's time for me to back your images up to ensure they're safe, start working om your previews and begin the editing process. The editing takes between 3-8 weeks depending on the season, after which I upload your images to a private online gallery and get to work on your beautiful hand made, wooden USB presentation box ready for you to collect.
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
Photos of just them, being natural! Weddings are so emotional and it's often hard to process what is happening on the day having the photos of just you two will bring back memories and show the true joy, love and happiness as experienced on the day.
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
A first "not looking" look photo. We positioned the bride and groom out of each others sight, but close enough for them to hold hands and talk before the ceremony. Emotions were high and even i was crying but the photos were so worth it!
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Having fun and embracing the rain! Unfortunately we haven't mastered controlling the weather and actually rain makes beautiful photos.
Describe how you got into photography.
I've always had a love for media and storytelling so it became natural to me to follow my dreams of being a wedding photographer.
