What is your most memorable wedding?
It would have to be either an Asian wedding we shot in Nottingham or a Jewish wedding in captured in London. Both those wedding offer amazing colours, attention to details including those extras which are culture specific and made amazing wedding days.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Our style is to capture the real natural story of the day, when the parents tell us we’ve captured their daughter/son exactly as they know them we know we’ve done our job right.
What about your business are you most proud of?
Being about to stop time and capture that moment as a portrait that will become more valuable as time goes on.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Don’t try to do too much, your day will pass so fast, try to enjoy it as much as possible.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
A 30 question quiz broken down into sets of 10 questions asked between each course. Each table was a team, the winning table was presented with an envelope with cash to spend at the bar during the evening. The engagement was very good and it was great fun.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
After booking us we always meet our clients so they get to know us a bit and have an opportunity to ask anything. We sometimes also do a pre wedding photo shoot, this is a great opportunity for our clients to know how we work and allows us to build up a working relationship. On the day, we do everything we can to make our clients be as relaxed as possible.
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
That’s quite tough, personally a great capture of the newly weds which would look lovely on the wall at home, but also a capture with their parents is also high on the list even though I’m not a huge fan of posed groups.
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
Asked to capture the bride and groom holding a thank you board to use on their thank you cards.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
We always carry a pair on white umbrellas with us, being white avoids any colour cast onto the brides dress. When raining we always look for concrete path or patio which when wet will provide amazing reflections and allow for some very artistic captures. Us brits are used to some rain but as much as we don’t want it on our wedding day, we encourage you to try and not let it get in the way and just work through it and take advantage of what comes with it.
Describe how you got into photography.
I started photography in motor sport as a teenager and got into weddings by taking photos at weddings of friends, family and colleagues which got attention.
