What is your most memorable wedding?
A recent Indian wedding where the couple danced into their reception to cut the cake! The evening ended with me dancing on stage as I photographed the crowd with their hands in the air, which was great fun. Another couple hired The Singing Waiters as a surprise for their guests, they lifted the roof with their version of Nessun Dorma.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Elegant, clean, timeless, emotive, natural
What about your business are you most proud of?
Consistent quality for over 10 years. As a photographer, I've certainly progressed with experience and my work gets better with every wedding and event, but to demonstrate that level of excellence over such a long time is what sets Mirror Imaging Photography apart.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
One groom surprised his new bride by having a friend bring their dog after the ceremony. The photographs were adorable.
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
Together, straight after you're leaving the ceremony. There's no happier, more uplifting emotions than the ones you're feeling in that moment, and the camera picks it up.
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
I was asked to recreate scenes from Cinderella from one Disney-loving couple. I researched details of each scene, for example exactly how Cinderella held her dress and looked back at her shoe as she fled at midnight! The resulting photograph was surprisingly effective and magical. Most of all, my couple loved it.
