Most couples tell me they barely noticed I was there, and that's exactly how I like it. I shoot in a documentary style, so there's no stiff posing or long lists of set-ups. I just capture the day as it really happens. I don't charge by the hour either. I'm with you from the start of prep until the dancefloor's in full swing, so you never have to watch the clock. By the next day you'll have a preview gallery to share with family and friends while it's all still fresh.

After more than 950 weddings, what I'm proudest of is how many of my couples find me through someone else's wedding. A guest watches me work all day, sees the photos, and a year later they're booking me for their own. You can't buy that kind of recommendation. It only comes from doing the job properly, every time, for everyone in the room.

Don't overdo it. Before you add anything to the day, ask yourself whether you really need it. The weddings I remember most aren't the ones with the most going on. They're the ones where the couple had time to actually be with their guests. Leave some breathing space in the timeline and you'll enjoy it more, and your photos will show it.

Absolutely. I shoot all over the UK, from Cornwall to Essex, the Cotswolds and Hampshire, and I regularly photograph destination weddings in Malta, France, Spain and Majorca. I'm also a qualified drone pilot, so if your venue has a spectacular setting, we can capture it from above too.

It starts with a chat, over a video call or a coffee, so we can get to know each other and you can tell me what matters most to you. Closer to the day, we'll go through your timeline together and put together a short list of the family group shots you want, so nothing gets missed.

On the day itself, I blend into the background and capture everything as it happens. There's no stiff posing and no clock-watching, because I stay for as long as you need me. The group shots are done quickly so you can get back to your guests.

The next day, you'll have a preview gallery to share with friends and family. The full, carefully edited collection follows in a private online gallery, ready to download, share and print. If you'd like an album, I can help you design one that tells the whole story.

A photo with your grandparents, or whichever older relatives mean the most to you. It's the one couples skip because it feels like a formality, and the one they tell me years later they're most grateful for. Weddings are often the last time the whole family is together in one place, looking their best. Give it two minutes in the schedule. You won't regret it.

And one for yourselves: take five minutes alone together straight after the ceremony, before the congratulations start. No posing, just the two of you taking it in. I'll hang back and catch it quietly. Those are often my favourite photos of the whole day.

Not at all. Nearly every couple I meet says this, and it's one of the main reasons people book me. Most of the day, you won't be "in front of the camera" at all. I'm just quietly capturing what's happening while you get on with enjoying yourselves with the people you love.

When we do take a few portraits of the two of you, it's short and relaxed. We'll go for a little walk, I'll chat to you, and you just focus on each other. No cheesy poses, no staring down the lens. Some of the best photos come from the moments in between, when you've forgotten I'm there.

And if you really hate it, tell me. We'll keep it to ten minutes and get you back to the party.

Honestly, some of my favourite photos have come from rainy days. Umbrellas, guests huddled under a marquee, everyone laughing at the British summer. I've shot over 950 weddings, so I know how to work with whatever the day throws at us. I'll always have a plan for the group shots, and the rest is real life. That's what documentary photography is all about.

I grew up in Truro, Cornwall, and studied Action Photography at university, graduating in 2009. Early on I shot Premier League football, which taught me more about timing than anything else could. You get one chance at the goal, and a wedding is no different. Nobody's doing the first kiss again.

A job with Google Maps took my family and me from Cornwall to Essex, and that's where weddings really took over. I've worked as a Google Street View photographer, one of only around 100 in the country, but weddings are where my heart is.

More than 950 weddings later, I'm back home in Cornwall and I still love it as much as the first. I shoot the day like a photojournalist: quietly, honestly, and never missing the moments that matter.
