Photography Style

Full Description
I like to make photographs that will hold lasting meaning for people, so I work closely with each couple to create a collection of images which reflects the love, style and attention to detail that they have put into their wedding. I want couples to enjoy the whole experience of being photographed on their wedding day, so my relaxed, unposed style helps put them at ease and brings a natural, authentic quality to their photographs. Seeing each wedding with fresh eyes is important, because I want the personality of the couple to come through in the images I make for them. On a wedding day I look for the real life moments that make people feel something special when they see them. It’s not just the key events of the day that I’m looking for, it’s the in-between moments that can be so powerful. Whether it’s the look between a daughter and her father before they walk up the aisle, or the funny little dance of a flower girl during the solemn blessing at the alter, it’s these unexpected elements of a story that I love to include in my work. When I deliver a set of photographs I want the couple to feel the love and excitement they felt on their wedding day, so it’s this that inspires me to make photographs that people love to look at. Please get in touch about commissioning me to photograph your wedding.

Magical memories that will last a lifetime
My husband Olly and I chose Mark after looking at his photos. Little did we know then that he would not only take the most incredible, beautiful photos of our wedding but also be a huge support for us along the way and on our wedding day itself. From sorting out my father's flower, calming the nerves to meeting with us to discuss the day, Mark is a professional, a wonderful person and a true artist. We can hugely recommend Mark to anyone. He captured magical memories that will last a lifetime- we are nothing but grateful.

What is your most memorable wedding?

In a wood, up a creek where the bride arrived by boat.... one and a half hours late. It was fabulous, everyone was dancing. It was a heartfelt celebration. I'll never forget it.

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

What about your business are you most proud of?

I love what I do - I'm really proud of that

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Enjoy every moment of your day

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

genuine heartfelt vows - they always move me

Describe your typical process with a couple.

We have fun, we enjoy a get to know each other photo session, we chat though the wedding day details, you get married, I send you lovely photos....

What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?

I try not to have a formula, so the number one photo is different for each couple. Lets make one together

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

Dancing in the rain - umbrellas optional

Describe how you got into photography.

I grew up around cameras and in darkrooms; Dad was a pro photographer and photographed weddings when I was growing up. When I was young he said 'never photograph weddings', but when I got older he asked me why I wasn't photographing weddings..... Me and photography were destined, but I still had to choose it.
