What is your most memorable wedding?
My most memorable wedding was a large festival type wedding near St Davids. It went on for 3 days, the guests partied hard! and there was wind...lots of wind. I won't ever forget that weekend. Such good fun!
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Drama Documentary Details - Vibrant & Vivid
What about your business are you most proud of?
I am proudest when I get messages from past brides and grooms telling me how happy and emotional their wedding galleries make them feel. This is always a proud moment that never ever gets old!
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Meet with suppliers! Employing complete strangers to be there on your big day is actually quite a strange thing..don't you think! It's important to have a team of people working with you that share your vision. You can always decide to go elsewhere if you meet and things don't feel right.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
One bride spent the months before her wedding making 1000 origami crane birds. Apparently this is good luck and shows your dedication to your marriage. Safe to say, they look amazing in the reception venue! I was very impressed
Describe your typical process with a couple.
I like to meet couples at the booking stage. It's really important that we share a vision and our personalities gel. After all, I am going to be with you for a large proportion of your wedding day! We then meet 3 months before to get the finer details in place such as special shots, schedule for the day, key bridal party members etc. I like to visit the venue and attend wedding rehearsals if these are planned (especially if I have not photographed in that location before). I also encourage couples to spam me with any inspiration they find on Instagram or Pinterest. This helps me understand which styles/poses you prefer. I'm very flexible and love working with couples to create surprises and special moments. I love to be 'in on a plan'!.
To secure a booking date with me, I require a £200 deposit (fully refundable up to 6 weeks before the wedding day) and a signed contract.
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
The confetti shot! I absolutely love the moment that couples leave their ceremony as Man and Wife. It's a beautiful moment!
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
An up-skirt kilt photo! or perhaps the man who decided to wear the bride's dress hoop as a bit of headwear
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Umbrellas! Of course! I absolutely love rainy photos and advise couples not to be phased by a bit of wet weather.
Describe how you got into photography.
Photography has always been a passion of mine; growing up in such a large family, there were always weddings, get-togethers and parties. I love capturing moments, scrap-booking and making videos. Watching and looking at these years later is the most beautiful thing. Turning that passion into a business was a very natural and automatic thing to happen. I'm so pleased I get to call this my job.
