From small gatherings of 10 people to large parties of 200+ guests, every wedding is special. We have worked with couples who unite cultures from around the world, those with faith-based ceremonies, those who celebrate festival style in a field, and couples in the LGBTQ+ community. Love is love.
For over 10 years, couples have trusted us to capture their special moments and create beautiful photographs that they will cherish and relive for the rest of their lives. Mae Photography is a female-led business with a relaxed approach. There is no pressure selling, all of our pricing is clearly listed, and there are no hidden fees.
Every booking will be customised to meet your needs. As standard, our wedding packages include the complete collection of photographs in high-resolution files, ready for display in any way you like. All images are individually edited by us to enhance and balance the colors to our signature style, while keeping them natural and timeless. Your guests will have access to your own password-protected gallery, and we'll also send you a highlights showreel - a video featuring the most beautiful and memorable photos from your wedding day available to watch on your device anytime you like!

What is your most memorable wedding?
Every wedding is so special and individual, but there is one that stands out, and you'll soon realise why. In January 2018 I took some photos for a lady for her to use on her online dating profile. A month later, she found a match! In December of that same year, I photographed her wedding! It was so lovely to have been on the journey with her right from the beginning, all the way through to the wedding.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Natural, Relaxed, Beautiful, Light & Joyful.
What about your business are you most proud of?
The foundation of Mae Photography is set in honesty and integrity. This is presented by displaying all of our prices upfront, open communication with our couples before and after their wedding day and images that tell the story of your day in a natural, honest way.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Plan the day you want, not what others pressure you into. It is your day, you only get this time once. Enjoy it.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
One that springs to mind was a church ceremony where both the bride and groom had children from previous relationships. During the ceremony, each child lit a candle to represent each side of the family, and then the couple combined them into one large candle, sybolising the unity of the two families coming together. It was a wonderful way to include two young boys into the wedding.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
We'll start off by having a chat via video call, to hear more about your wedding plans and see if I could be the right photographer for you. Once your date is secured with us, I will do a little happy dance! You can get in touch at any time to ask questions about the photography, or just wedding help in general. Your engagement portrait session is an exciting time when we meet up, go for a stroll and take some photos of the two of you in preparation for your wedding.
On the wedding day itself, I will be in and out of the shadows as needed. There are times when it's prudent to step back, observe and capture the moment, and others where I might need to give a little nudge (usually towards the good light).
After the wedding, you will receive your final gallery of photos within 6 weeks, ready for you to download and share as you wish. Wedding albums are an optional extra that you can order at any time after your wedding. We highly recommend investing in a beautiful, professional album so you can sit down each year on your anniversary and relive your wedding day.
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
Our couple's value time with their friends and family; your wedding party include some of your favourite people that you have chosen to share this special day with, so it is a must that we get some beautiful, but also fun photos with your wedding party.
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
A really lovely one was a bride and groom that wanted to have a photo of them both holding their parents wedding portraits.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
A smile. Don't let it ruin your day, just keep on celebrating.
Describe how you got into photography.
I went to university to study photography, and luckily came away with a degree and a passion for the subject. My husband, Jason (the business brains behind the company), then helped me set up Mae Photography. 10 years on, I love what I do, and weddings is definitely where my heart is at.
