What is your most memorable wedding?
The people are the best part about all my weddings! So I couldn't pick one!
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Relaxed, natural, documentary, romantic, candid.
What about your business are you most proud of?
Never receiving a bad review!
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Lots of flowers!! Never too many flowers! Also - don't buy the first dress you try on, let yourself come back to it after shopping around as it won't go anywhere!
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
One couple found and printed a meaningful photo, or photo of them with the guest and popped them on each guests place setting. I thought this was really sweet and loved capturing everyone see them and the emotions it created.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
I always suggest a meeting over coffee or a Skype chat prior to booking so we meet firstly! I love to hear all about your plans, and I can explain how the photography would fit into your day.
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
A few relaxed photos as a newly married couple just the two of you.
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
Too many funny requests!
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Lots of brollies! I am always up for a challenge, and rain can be worked around. If the forecast looks particularly dodgy I suggest bulk buying some clear umbrellas from Ebay!
I would definitely pay attention to the indoor space when choosing a venue, make sure you like the backup plan for if it is a rainy day.
Describe how you got into photography.
I have always taken lots of photos but I really got into photography at college. I did a fashion photography course which I loved, and it taught me so much. I then went on to study Photography at uni, and looked at it more as an art form. Weddings came after that when I had family friends asking me to photograph their big days as a favour. From this I had more and more people ask me, and realised how much I loved capturing natural moments and photographing special memories for people. So I made the transition out of studio photography and into Weddings full time!
