What is your most memorable wedding?
I have lots of memorable weddings and all for different reasons. Sometimes you remember them for the people (I love chatting with guests during the day too), other times for something fabulous that happened during the day. That's why being a wedding photographer is such good fun - we meet lots of different types of people, and get to witness their special days. No two weddings are the same, so it keeps things really fun!
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Relaxed, fun, candid, family, colourful
What about your business are you most proud of?
We are so proud of the feedback we receive from our clients. Since we started the business we have met some truly kind and wonderful people and it's a pleasure to be invited along on the most special day of their lives, and to capture moments for ever.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Book suppliers with whom you feel a connection. Try to at least arrange a Teams meeting with your chosen supplier before booking - they spend a lot of time with you on the day and its lovely to chat about your plans and requirements so that you can be sure a supplier is the one for you.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Pets are always a wonderful addition to a wedding, they are part of your family after all and can bring such fun to the proceedings!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
More often than not, we meet our couples at Wedding Shows throughout the year, or receive emails following personal recommendations from other clients. Generally a contact email or phone call follows to check our availability. A Teams or Face to Face meeting is suggested and if the couple decide to proceed once they have had a good think, I send over the booking form, contract and details for deposit transfer via email for them to return and secure their date in our diary. We always meet our couples at least one month before their wedding day to catch up and chat through any specific timings and requirements, have a general catch up with how their wedding planning has been and find out any info about their close families that may be helpful for the smooth running of the day.
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
A candid shot of the couple alone (or with their little ones) walking, talking, giggling and just enjoying the day in the grounds of their chosen venue.
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
A couple asked me to take an all guest group shot of 100 + people whilst they 'roared like a tiger' whilst making hand gestures of claws!!
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Errr an umbrella! Seriously, if your venue has some beautiful indoor spaces, then great lets use those, but if not lets get out there and make the most of it!!
Describe how you got into photography.
From a family background of videography, photography was the natural step for us. And once we shot weddings, we knew it was what we loved to do - and we're pretty darn good at it too!!
