Lorna thought of everything
Having Lorna photograph our wedding was a delight. Ahead of the wedding we discussed what we were looking for and the key photos we wanted. On the day itself she somehow managed to be in several places at once and capture every special moment. She thought of everything and made sure we got images that we would have easily forgotten about. Her photographs are beautifully natural and captured the atmosphere perfectly. We had some posed photographs, but some of our favourites are the candid ones which she captured when people didn't realise she was there. Because of the pandemic and restrictions, many of our guests and close family could not join us, so the photography suddenly became really important. Lorna arranged for a second photographer to assist her and they both worked seamlessly with a last minute videographer that we hired. We now have some stunning photographs that we will treasure forever and that we have been able to share with all of our family who could not be with us in person. We would strongly recommend Lorna to anyone who is looking for a wedding photographer.

100/10 can't recommend enough!
From what started as a photoshoot for my wife and I's engagement, we instantly knew we wanted Lorna to do the photography for our wedding. She has been fantastic all the way through with regular check ups, making sure we knew what we wanted the plan to be and always made time for us. If you are reading this and need to book a photographer then stop and book her now, it will be the (apart from getting married) best decision you can make. 100/10 can't recommend enough!

Lorna made us feel completely at ease.
Lorna made us feel completely at ease and took on board everything we were looking for in a wedding photographer. She is extremely professional and made the whole experience easy for us. Her help and guidance as to how the day would run took a massive weight off our shoulders, and we were able to enjoy the day knowing she was capturing all the special moments!

Lorna was supportive and patient
Lorna did an amazing job photographing our wedding - aside from capturing all the right moments and taking beautiful photos, she was a pleasure to be around, and really put us at our ease on the big day. Lorna was supportive and patient before and after the wedding when details were being decided upon, made useful suggestions, and was nothing but helpful throughout the whole process. We are so pleased with the photos themselves, and the high-quality album that Lorna put together for us. Whether the shots are natural or posed, close-up detail or a wider scene, they are all carefully and sensitively composed, and look fantastic. We feel lucky to have had such a talented and nice photographer cement the memories of the day, that we can now treasure for a lifetime. After the wedding, lots of our guests commented on how great Lorna was on the day, and everyone loves the photographs. We wouldn't hesitate for one second to recommend Lorna, and wish her all the best for the future!

Lorna really knows her stuff.
We're very pleased with the results of our engagement shoot with Lorna. She was very helpful and quick to respond leading up to the shoot, always ready with a practical suggestion where needed. Lorna went out of her way to come to the site we chose, and while we weren't really sure what to expect, and are both a bit camera-shy, she did a great job of putting us at our ease and making things feel a bit more natural. Her ideas for shots and composition during the shoot were professional and effective, and we could see that Lorna really knows her stuff. We were sent the photos sooner than anticipated; the shots came out in very good quality. We're sure Lorna will do a great job on our wedding day itself!

Lorna captured the mood of the day so perfectly.
Lorna did an amazing job shooting our wedding in Venice. She captured the mood of the day so perfectly, and so many of the little details that others might have overlooked too. Everyone felt incredibly comfortable in her presence, resulting in very natural images. Her beautiful photos are something we will treasure for the rest of our lives - in fact, I would say that they made an already perfect day even better!

What is your most memorable wedding?

I think every wedding is special and unique in it's own way, but if I had to pick one, I think it would have to be an intimate wedding in Venice – it was just so relaxed and oh so romantic!

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

relaxed, natural, authentic, heartfelt and beautiful

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Start planning early to avoid that last minute stress, and if all doesn't go quite to plan on the day, go with the flow – most important is that you enjoy your special day being with the people you love the most.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

Mini cactus wedding favours – they were just so cute, and I loved the idea that all the guests would have a living keepsake to take home with them.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

I get it – choosing your wedding photographer is a big decision. So I always suggest first meeting up for a cuppa and a chat about your wedding plans to see if we click. This is also the best time for you to ask any questions, to see a sample album and discuss which of my wedding packages fits your needs best. This conversation can also happen via FaceTime or Skype – whatever is easiest for you. For more information about my approach, the booking process, wedding coverage and packages available, please get in touch and I will send you my brochure.

What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?

I think every couple should schedule at least 30 minutes for shots of just the 2 of them. This is partly to give you time to relax into the shoot making for the best photos, but often this is the only time on your wedding day that you get time to yourselves. It's a really precious time.

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

If you're getting married in Britain, then the chance of rain on your wedding day is pretty high, whatever the time of year. However, it's very rare it will rain all day long, so it will likely just mean that photo timings may need to change slightly, and when there's a break in the rain, we make a sudden dash for it. Failing that, there are usually doorways and other undercover areas that can be used instead. Mostly I find that with umbrellas and the right attitude you can still get some beautifully atmospheric and moody shots. Clear umbrellas are often very handy to have, and the bridal party may want to have a pair of wellies at the ready just in case, as well as towels to put down to avoid the worst of the puddles. Often wedding venues are well prepared for rainy days with umbrellas etc, but it's always a question worth asking when you visit them.

Describe how you got into photography.

My love for photography really goes hand in hand with my love for travel. I used to travel alone quite a lot for work, which gave me the perfect opportunity to go out and explore and lose myself in a city with my trusty camera in hand. Then in 2015 I got the chance to live in Vienna and work with a portrait photographer for a year. It was a wonderful experience, and while studio portrait photography wasn't quite my cuppa tea, it made me realise that I wanted to take my photography further. I truly got the wedding photography bug after photographing a few friend's weddings and I haven't looked back since!
