Full Description
Hi, I'm Lindy, and I absolutely love the privilege of being a wedding photographer! I love meeting happy couples like you- wonderful, creative, in-love and planning a beautiful day of celebration with all your favourite people there to cheer you on. I love being a friendly, reassuring person on your wedding day, making sure you feel relaxed, and unobtrusively capturing each special moment. I love to work with bright, clean spaces using beautiful natural light, and I produce final images that have a soft and romantic look. I edit in a light and airy, fine art style- with lots of white and pastel colours- so if your venue is light with lots of outdoor space, then this works perfectly with my style. I'd love to be a part of your day to capture it perfectly as it unfolds; a friendly face, unobtrusively blending in with your guests and looking out for those special moments as they happen. I will be looking for emotion and connection, and making the most of all the beautiful details that you have brought together. At a suitable time, let's take a little breather for you both to have a moment together where we can get some beautiful shots of just the two of you. I take on a limited number of weddings each year as I am committed to giving every couple 100%. I want you to feel as comfortable around me as you would a friend, and know that I am doing everything possible to ensure that you enjoy your day, and have photographs that enable you to re-live it for many years to come. I genuinely LOVE weddings and would love to hear all about your plans- drop me an email today and let's get the conversation started!

I'm blown away with the whole experience
Lindy was our wedding photographer and, honestly, I'm blown away with the whole experience and the photos. Lindy is so lovely, so fun and extremely talented. She makes the time that she's shooting very relaxed and not at all awkward. She captured everything that we wanted capturing in a naturally beautiful way. We had so much fun and are so thankful! She is 100% the best!

Sees the perfect moments and captures them beautifully
Having worked with many photographers, I believe that the key isn't just the equipment or the technical ability; its an X-factor that can't be taught. Lindy has got that X-factor. She has the eye to see the perfect moments and the skill to capture them beautifully. She photographed an event for me last year. Every picture caught the emotion of the day. She would be my first choice of photographer every time.

A pleasure to know, with impeccable timing and vision
From the advice and guidance in the lead up to our wedding, the groundwork Lindy put into viewing the venues in advance of the day and her calm presence on the day itself, Lindy was a pleasure to work with and get to know. She has a great eye and knows what will make a perfect picture, capturing our day with impeccable timing and vision. Lindy has captured moments that we will treasure forever.

From the moment we originally met Lindy to receiving our cherished wedding photos, she was very professional and cared for our every need, going above and beyond every time. We both love our photos of the biggest day of our lives! One thing was clear to both Laura and I, the way Lindy had captured the special moments was nothing short of outstanding. Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Natural, relaxed, beautiful, light and airy.

What about your business are you most proud of?

I am really approachable and friendly and my brides usually see me as a friend rather than just a supplier. This helps my couples to feel relaxed around me, which means we get the natural shots that they want of their day.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Choose a photographer that you get on with as you will be with them throughout your wedding day! Plan in enough time for some beautiful couple shots of just the two of you- if possible around golden hour (the hour of so before sunset when the light is so gorgeous). If you like the light and airy style, choose a venue that is white, bright, and has lots of natural light to achieve the look you want in your photos. If your venue is dark and uses lots of artificial light, you will need to choose a photographer who mainly uses flash photography and this will have a different look and be less unobtrusive.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

One bride had chosen the flowers that she wanted the year before and grown them from seed in her mum's garden. They were then handpicked for the wedding. Her parents also kept bees, so all the candles were homemade from their beeswax and the guests' favours were tiny pots of their honey!

Describe your typical process with a couple.

I send my brochure to each enquiry to explain a bit more about my photography and give details of my packages. If the couple want to go ahead and book, I then send out my contract and payment information. We then keep open communication up to the wedding and have a detailed chat (either face to face or over Skype) nearer to the day to finalise the details. I will also do my own research into the venue. On the day, I provide the hours of coverage that you require. You will then receive a secure private gallery of fully edited, high resolution images which you can download and share. For your convenience, you can also choose to purchase professional prints and wall art directly from the gallery. This is fulfilled by Loxley Colour, who are one of the UK's most respected photographic labs.

What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?

A beautiful, authentic shot of just the two of you that captures the love, happiness and connection between you both. This will undoubtedly be the one you display in your home for years to come.

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

If you have chosen a venue that is light and bright, then we will be able to take lots of gorgeous shots inside. I always bring a plain, ivory coloured umberella with me so that, if it rains, we still have the option to pop outside for some outdoor shots if you would like to. It is also a good idea for the bride to consider footwear if she would like a walkabout in the surrounding area for photos and the weather is looking a bit dodgy (e.g. bring a second pair of shoes for this that are comfortable to walk in and keep your heels for inside).

Describe how you got into photography.

I have loved taking photos as long as I can remember, but I got more serious about it when I had children and wanted to capture the fleeting memories. I started working with a wedding photographer as a second shooter, so I very much learnt on the job from day 1, alongside taking various courses in photographic skills and techniques.
