My job is pretty cool, I get to photograph couples who are in love.
Every wedding is unique, the couples I work with are so very different but there are three constants for me. I cry everytime the bride or groom walks up the aisle. I can be seen holding back the tears at the speeches, and again at the first dance. I guess you can say I am emotional (which is a good thing as I really connect with all couples I work with). Please don’t let that put you off, I compose myself throughout and still take the creative and stunning images.
I like to have fun. This is really important to me, especially at a wedding which is a very social occasion. All couples and their guests feel totally comfortable as soon as I arrive – making everyone feel at ease to have great images captured across the entire day. You often hear words like ‘unobtrusive’, ‘blend in’ or ‘in the background’ – this is not me. I get stuck in, I am hard to miss and my energy for taking awesome photography shines through.
