For me wedding photography is so much more than perfectly staged portraits; it’s about capturing the atmosphere and the ambience of your day. Your photos will inevitably become your memory (a bit like childhood holidays) and it’s essential that what is preserved is honest and true, so that you can look back on them in 30 years time and remember how the day really felt. It’s about capturing those authentic and imperfect moments and documenting people together with family and friends that they may never see again. It’s also about the wonderfully artful and timeless portrait imagery as well - those end up on your wall and if created in a timeless way, they will become heirlooms that you will enjoy forever.
My aim to only shoot a small number of weddings each year so that I can give each couple the attention they deserve. My wedding photography has more of a editorial documentary / candid tone to it; I tend to fly under the radar and document your day rather than completely dictate it, although I do love taking beautiful portraits and I don’t mind a few small family shots too should you wish. I’ve travelled extensively and my love of photography is born out of my love of humans and people watching wherever I go.
I am based in The Cotswolds, but I am happy to travel anywhere.
