My husband and I would recommend Just Big Smiles to anyone. Just as others have said - from the moment Jim came round to meet us we knew we had made the best decision. Jim is amazing - warm, friendly, helpful, professional, knowledgeable and the kind of guy where it was a pleasure to have him at our wedding. He listened to what we wanted and absolutely nothing was too much. Communication was perfect from booking and beyond. On the day, Jim was punctual and put e wry one at ease. He is fantastic with kids and all the guests loved him. There are so many reasons to book Jim as your wedding photographer and at the end of it you get the most beautiful collection of photos. After looking at many different Wedding Photographers Mark and I were really pleased with our final choice in James and Karl at Just Big Smiles. From the first time we met these guys we could tell they were going to help us capture our day in just the way we wanted. They met with us a couple of times in advance to talk through our requirements including a practice shoot in Abbey Gardens to ensure we knew exactly the right spots to capture the perfect memories and didn’t keep our friends and family hanging around too long on the big day. The after care was as good as the day itself, they came back to us quickly with an edited selection of shots and helped us create an album we will treasure as a momento of a great day. Jim was the Photographer at our wedding on May 4th 2018. He was absolutely brilliant and produced some fantastic photos of our wonderful day. Jim was our wedding photographer on Oct 7th 2017 and the pictures are amazing!! He even won an award for one of them. He is extremely professional wanting to make sure he is clued up on the pictures of people you absolutely don’t want to miss and will discuss this prior to the event. We would highly recommend him and only sorry we didn’t take him up on the offer of the engagement photo shoot also. If you are looking for a wedding or event photographer, we highly recommend using Just Big Smiles. We got married on a dark winter’s afternoon/evening, and did not initially intend to have a photographer, as we felt it would be too difficult to capture the occasion in such challenging conditions. Fortunately, we were proved wrong! Jim and Carl from JBS captured some of the most incredibly creative, atmospheric and natural photo’s you could imagine. We were overwhelmed with the photos we received, and also very impressed with how quickly they were edited and shared with us. It wasn’t just about the pictures, however. Jim and Carl’s warm, friendly, ‘nothing is too much trouble’ approach is what really made it for us. Their passion for the job and incredible attention to detail really shone through. We were able to meet with Jim beforehand to discuss exactly what we wanted, and he even took the time to visit and familiarise himself with the venue before the day. On the day, Jim was at the venue first thing in the morning, capturing as much of the build-up as he could. During the reception, they provided sparklers for guests for some creative shots outside. They also asked guests to write messages for us on chalkboards – something we didn’t even know had happened until the photos came through! These little touches mean we have a wonderful variety of photos we can treasure for evermore. If you book JBS, you’ll have no regrets.

We chose their platinum package which included our engagement photoshoot, the wedding day, and a photo album. What really surprised us was just how dedicated to their research and preparation they were; from several meetings with us, venue visits, scouting out different areas around our wedding venue for great photo opportunities and personal requirements. They couldn’t have made our time with them any more at ease, fun, yet professional and unique all in one, ensuring nothing was too much trouble and taking an anything is possible approach to our day. When we sat down to review our photos, we couldn’t have been happier. They captured the day perfectly; the lighting and angles were exceptional and the finish was spectacular. When you ask someone you don’t know to provide a service, there is always some uncertainty at first and the hope that the right decision was made. We did some background research on Just Big Smiles and we liked what we saw so we decided to ask them to be our photographers on our wedding day. We first met Jim and Karl on the day of the engagement shoot. They wanted to know all about our expectations, our likes and dislikes for the big day. They were very attentive and friendly. During the engagement shoot, we all learnt a bit more about each other and that helped us relax – we don’t normally like having photos taken of us. When we saw the results, we could really see how technically competent they are with cameras, but also how nice their artistic ideas were. On the big day, when we saw them again, it felt like we were meeting friends – again that helped us relax more in front of the camera to the point of almost forgetting about it. Jim and Karl’s technical competence was obvious once again, always thinking about what would work and what wouldn’t and making the most of what’s available at the time (fields, sunsets, trees in blossom, etc). During the group photos, they cracked jokes and created diversions to get people to relax and look amused. We also liked their nature documentary like approach for some of their photography. Some of our favourite pictures are of people caught off-guard and not knowing they were photographed. They also set up our photo booth and took the photos, which was a good source of entertainment. In summary, we are very happy that we took the decision to ask Jim and Karl to be our photographers for our big day. We found them friendly, attentive, technically and artistically very competent and we could not recommend them highly enough. When the day was over, it felt quite sad to say goodbye as it felt like we were saying farewell to friends we had known for a long time.
