What is your most memorable wedding?
Most of my clients feel like friends by the time their wedding arrives... so I genuinely do think back to my weddings very fondly. As I have been a wedding photographer for over 10 years, I've gotten to the point where I now realise the importance of photographs... On one of my first ever weddings, I was shooting groom prep - all servicemen, and I remember thinking that although they were my groom's best me... he was in fact the best man as they all came to him for help with ties etc. I recently found out that my groom had passed away... Those images became SO much more important to his friends and family. So much more than wedding pictures, your wedding images become part of the legacy of your lives.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Stylish, fun, relaxed, informal, non-cheesy
What about your business are you most proud of?
The relationships I get to build with my amazing clients... and the news they share with me years later. I am also really proud of the amazing, professional wedding suppliers I get to work with day in and day out. Our industry is amazing. I am a recommended vendor to some of thee most stunning venues in and around Cambridgeshire.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Be demanding, it's your wedding. Do allow time for your photographs - you'll not regret this. And NEVER EVEr worry about being photographed. Most of us dislike being photographed, and this shouldn't worry you on your day. It is my job, your photographer, to relax you so that I can get the shots you'll love, without you spending hours in front of the camera .
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Every guest (including me) got a hand painted favour from the bride's mother... as well as a collection of hand made sweets and favours - this was Rosa's gorgeous Italian wedding!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
I've tried to make booking your wedding photographer as easy as possible... You'll not find over complicated, fancy named packages just one level of service designed to give you the best coverage and backed up with lots of ways to personalise your wedding photography. usually, all it takes is an email, a not pressure meeting and a small booking fee.
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
My job is to get you both to relax during your shoot to the point that the real you comes through in the images... There isn't just ONE image... we work to get the true emotions of your day to show in your images.
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
The grooms party all in a shower (6 men)... Somethings you just can't un-see.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
I recommend you embrace the weather... your dress can get dry cleaned, the suits will be okay - I'll protect you as much as I can (I always bring bridal umbrellas with me)... but when it comes to it... dump the brollies and embrace the weather and we'll get some truly memorable images for you.
Describe how you got into photography.
I've been a photographer since I was six years old... and this is actually my second career as a wedding photographer. When I started out,I used film, and was only shot 120 images per wedding. The shots were boring, traditional and uninspiring. Now I get to shoot the type of imaging I love, my images help tell the entire story of your wedding in a creative, stylish way. And I now get to shoot many more images per wedding.
