What is your most memorable wedding?
There have been so many amazing weddings.. that is a really difficult question! One of my favorites has to be Chloe and Haydn's wedding in 2015, as I knew both of these lovely people as a teenager. They had been together since the age of 16, so it was really special to see them tie the knot and also to see many old friends I hadn't seen in years! Their wedding had a punk-rock edge to it, which was fun to work and play with.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Natural, stylish, candid, fun, colourful.
What about your business are you most proud of?
Sticking to my own style and working with lovely clients who 'click' with it!
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Relax and enjoy it! Take your time, and don't worry about things going wrong. Nothing ever runs perfectly in life so their is no point ruining your enjoyment of the day over anything that doesn't go as exactly as you expected it would, much better to go with the flow, laugh and feel the love - that's what it is really all about.
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
Photos of the couple having a 10/15 minute walk around the grounds of their wedding venue. Not only do these photographs often turn out to be the most creative, romantic and memorable, but often the couple need a bit of a break from talking to lots of guests just to be alone with each other for a while. It is supposed to be a romantic day, after all! I shoot with a long lens at this point to ensure the couple have plenty of space to feel more relaxed.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Umbrellas can look great in your photographs, and if you're brave, wellies too! Have a look through my portfolio to see some examples of how to make the rain work for you not against you :)
Describe how you got into photography.
I had a love of photography in my early teens. When I left school I studied photography for 2 years at college and whilst there I also landed a job in a portrait studio. During this time I learnt an enormous amount about photography and honed my assisting, editing and shooting skills. After relocating I started shooting 'solo' part time, and since then things have just grown and grown!
