John Hughes Photography

Please allow me to introduce myself, my name is John Hughes and I’m a street photographer working mostly in Cambridge & London. I spend hours walking the streets of these amazing cities hunting for the perfect moment and let me tell you it's a full-time job that I love. My passion for street photography started with my photography teacher, a wonderful honest man whose name I will never forget, Mr Littlewood, I wish I could tell him just how much he meant to me. He introduced me to the world of photography back in the 1980s, he then noticed I had a love for taking photos of people on the streets, this leads him to introduce me to the street photographers of New York City, there was one that I connected with almost immediately, Bruce Davidson this was through his book Subway and from the moment I saw the photos in that book I knew I wanted to be a street photographer.
