I'll listen carefully to what you want from your wedding photography, and work closely with you both before and on the day to uniquely capture your wedding day story. By limiting the number of weddings I do each year to 20, I can take the time to get to know you personally, especially on our pre-wedding shoot. One of the main benefits of this is that I can tailor my approach on your wedding day exactly to your requirements - and in fact, many couples gain a much clearer idea of what they want from their wedding images after our pre-wedding shoot. It can really help you to understand whether you'd prefer wholly natural images or, for example, whether a bit of gentle professional direction makes you feel more confident. Getting to know you beforehand helps me to tell your wedding story with sensitivity to how you would like to look in your photos, and being mindful of any insecurities you may have. If, like many of my brides and grooms, you're a little camera shy, or feel you're not photogenic, you'll find that our time together will really help you to relax and feel confident on the day itself. Without exception, my couples book me to tell their wedding story creatively and unobtrusively. Your story encompasses your guests, chosen venue and all the little details, just as much as the two of you. For most of the day, I stand back and observe people's interactions to obtain candid, happy images you'll love, and which will allow you to 'relive your day' again and again. And for your couple photos, whether you prefer a completely 'hands off' approach, or to take some professional direction, you'll look natural and not overly posed. My experience and understanding of light will ensure flattering photos whether indoors and out, rain or shine. Put quite simply, you'll love your images.
