What is your most memorable wedding?
All the weddings I have done are memorable and so special to me, I couldn't possibly choose just one. I fully invest myself into each and every one and treat my couples like I am taking photos for my closest family and friends. It's an honour to be there and I couldn't single out one wedding that's been more special than the other.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
natural, candid, authentic, artistic, modern
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Focus on the fact that nothing else matters as long as you guys are getting married! After all its about the two of you. You can take on peoples suggestions but ultimately it's your day and do it the way you both want to.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
A jar of sand from a beach in Uruguay, where the bride was from and sand from a beach in England where the groom was from, poured together into a new jar during their ceremony signifiying their marriage- how lovely!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
I always either have zoom or phone call initially to just have an informal chat and "meet" albeit via a screen. It's nice to grab a grab a cuppa and just have a little blether about your day. If all goes well and you decide I am the gal for you, then I send over a booking form and contract along with an invoice for a 20% deposit to secure your date. If you have chosen "The Big Day" package, we can arrange your complementary pre wedding shoot around 1-6 months before the weddings (or whenever suits you best really!)
At least 1 week prior to the wedding I will send over a pre wedding questionnaire and have another zoom call with you both to go over the finer details like your family formal shot list. By then, it will feel like a call with a friend!
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
After the ceremony when you are both in a loved up haze, we go for a short walk just the two of you and take a few natural, candid shots but I do think it's important to have a either a full length of the two of you looking at the camera or a close up of both of you looking into the camera smiling, it will take only seconds and it's one your family will treasure for years to come in a frame.
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
A portrait of the bride with a highland cow! Her thoughtful father hired one as a surprise for her and it was spectacular!
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Firstly, no one looks back on their wedding and says "oh it rained that day." So ignore it, soak up your day (excuse the pun) and I always come prepared with clear brollies just incase! Just an FYI it makes for very atmospheric shots if its overcast!
Describe how you got into photography.
I have loved art from as long as I can remember. I was always the arty one in school, I was always the one most happy with a blank piece of paper and coloured pencils, and over the years that has manifested itself into Photography. I found my love for Wedding Photography after my own wedding and I am so incredibly grateful for the support of my family to allow me to build my own photography business.
