Hi, I’m Jaye and thank you for visiting my small profile on Bridebook. I’m a Lake District Wedding Photographer based in Cockermouth which borders the Lake District National Park and is the Gateway to the Lorton Valley and the lakes of Bassenthwaite, Crummock Water, Loweswater and Buttermere. Weddings are brilliant and I absolutely love being there to photograph the love and tender moments, tears of joy, and the ensuing festivities as you celebrate your special day. I am really drawn to people and capturing the essence of them enjoying the occasion. It’s also important that I blend in with your guests and it feels like I’m the long lost friend, albeit one with a couple of cameras and an odd sense of humour. I find that good wedding photography is a fusion of a number of different disciplines from documentary photography to portrait photography, but it also needs to be fun. As such I would describe my wedding photography style as relaxed. I also like to see colour in photos, and even though I stamp my own editing style on photographs if the sky is blue and the grass is green I want to see those colours come through in a photograph. I’m also a firm believer that a wedding should be your day exactly as you want it to be. I can guide and advise you on what might be the best time to do a certain thing or to disappear for your couple photos, but ultimately we do it your way.
