Full Description
I'm a storytelling photographer and I will document your day as it happens moment by heartfelt moment for you to look back on in years to come. I'll capture those memories that you'll look back on and laugh at, cry at and wonder how the heck did she get that? I'll tell the story of the glances that pass between you and your loved ones, the gentleness of one reassuring hand on another and the silent tear rolling down your mum's cheek and that look on your dad's face because he's just seen you in your wedding dress for the first time. My style of bright & colourful photography is timeless. I offer relaxed fun and colourful documentary style wedding photography. From the bridal preparations in the morning with all the excitement until the party kicks off in the evening with I'll be there to capture the emotion, fun and everything else! After the cake has been eaten and the flowers have faded you'll still have the best reminders of the best day of your life. As a Lancashire storytelling wedding photographer I'm perfectly situated to cover Northwest weddings. I have the best of both worlds, having the beautiful countryside on my doorstep for those traditional church weddings or the rustic tipi & barn style weddings. Whilst just over an hour away we have Manchester & Liverpool (my home city) both of which are amazing places to have your wedding because of the diversity of culture and architecture and the huge potential they have for photo opportunities. So, if it's a traditional village church rustic boho tipi or the bright lights 'n' sights of the city wedding photographer you're looking for to tell the STORY of YOUR wedding day then look no further. ~ LETS CHAT ABOUT YOUR PLANS ~

We could not of asked for a better photographer..
"From the first meeting with Jane we knew we had chosen the best person to take the photos on our special day. Jane made sure that we were involved in what photos were being taken. She set up Pinterest boards for ideas and made us feel at ease. On the day itself, Jane made sure everyone was involved, which was a hard job since no one liked their picture taken. She made sure that natural photos were taken as well all the ones we requested. We could not of asked for a better photographer.. Despite the weather the photos are stunning, Jane has done an amazing job with them. We would not think twice about recommending Jane to anyone."

What is your most memorable wedding?

All of them ~ for different reasons

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Storytelling Relaxed Unobtrusive Fun Colourful

What about your business are you most proud of?

My weddings have mostly been word of mouth recommendations but a couple of my bookings have been straight up "I've seen your website and I want to book you now". I'm on the preferred suppliers list of one of the most unique wedding venues in Lancashire.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Get to know your photographer well. They are just about the only person to be with you the entire length of your wedding day so you should certainly have a connection and you should be sure your photographer suits your ideals.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

Festival wristbands with date and bride and grooms' names on them. One each for the guests (and photographers) as a keepsake.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

After our initial phone call (which is likely to be a long one!) we'll meet up for a coffee and cake or (my favourite) a gin at your favourite bar ~ my treat! We'll chat about the plans you have for your big day. By the end of this meeting we'll have decided or not if we're a match (you really should have a connection with your photographer). Should you wish to book I'll send all the paperwork to you. A 25% deposit is taken to secure your date. I like to keep in touch with my couples in the time between booking and your wedding day for things like a venue consultation and to keep up with any ideas you may have for your photographs. Planning a wedding can be a stressful time so if you want some time out we can meet up for a drink and talk about all things "not wedding" I'll be in touch a couple of months before your wedding to go over the fine details and timings for the day but I'm always available if you want to chat about anything in the meantime so don't be afraid to give me a call or send me a text.

What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?

For me it's got to be the confetti shower. I'm a self confessed confetti addict so the more you have the better .... it looks super colourful with loads of confetti.

What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?

One of my brides wore Dr Marten boots for her wedding - gorgeous blue sparkly ones and she wanted a photo of her bouquet with them.

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

Definitely brollies. Wellies look cool on rainy day photos and if you don't mind getting wet we can get some epic creative photos on a rainy night.

Describe how you got into photography.

After doing landscape photography for many years and then switching to portrait photography where I did photo shoots for family and friends I shot my first wedding (after being reassured by my family that I "could do this") by being recommended by a friend and I found that I loved it! Who wouldn't? It's like being paid to attend THE best party celebrating such an epic day.
