What is your most memorable wedding?
I have been lucky enough to shoot a number of destination weddings in locations such as New York, Spain, Gibraltar and Lake Garda.
The lake Garda wedding was probably one of most favorites as It was such a stunning location.
The wedding itself was shot on top of a castle over looking the lake.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
informal, quirky, fun, discrete, beautiful
What about your business are you most proud of?
I am most proud of the sheer number of couples who trust me to capture their weddings. I have been shooting weddings now for over 9 years and I love every single one of them. Currently I shoot around 40 weddings per year and around 90% of them come from other brides and venues recommending me.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
One thing I do hear of a lot is couples only having a photographer for 4-5 hours and missing the evening and first dance, but then they will spend £250 on a chocolate fountain. They always regret it afterwards. Cut back on other things to have your photographer there all day.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
This year one of my brides had hand made her flowers and button holes from paper. The paper was taken from the couples favourite books and looked stunning!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Lets meet up for a cuppa one evening to discuss things in more detail and so that I can show you some of my work.
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
Selfie with the photographer.... ;)
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
I recently had a bride have her photograph taken with a Jewsons sand bag...
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Umbrella and wellies!
Describe how you got into photography.
I got into photography around 13 years ago on a charity trek in China. I came back and bought my first DSLR camera, the rest is history...
