Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Creative Beautiful Natural Documentary Relaxed
What about your business are you most proud of?
I am very proud of my ability to put couples at ease, photograph their wedding with creativity in an unobtrusive way and provide them with beautiful images, not just of the couple but also of their venue, friends and family.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
There is a lot of planning involved for a wedding but the most important thing to remember is to relax on the day and enjoy yourselves, the time goes so quickly!
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
My favourite personal touch, it's always the speeches, you can't get more personal than that!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Following an enquiry and booking and depending on the couple, we will either meet or chat on the phone to discuss their plans. If a venue visit is required or a pre wedding shoot then this is arranged. Lastly, we catch up a few weeks prior to the wedding date and go over any details. I am always available to speak to couples, answer any questions or give advice, from the point of booking to the day of the wedding. Good communication with couples is always key.
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
I don't think couples should pre-arrange a picture which will be the same as everyone else's! Every wedding is different and the best pictures are those moments personal to each couple... that's what makes my photography and approach unique!
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
That's a hard question... It's very rare that I'm asked to take specific pictures. Couples that book me trust that my ability as a creative, professional photographer will produce beautiful and original pictures which are personal to their wedding and that, I think is more important.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
It's always a good idea to have some indoor space free incase the weather changes but wellington boots and an umbrella will always save the day. Your photographer should still be able to get great pictures, even if it rains!
Describe how you got into photography.
I got into photography when I was very young. I borrowed my mother's camera for a day trip to Warwick Castle. I couldn't wait to see the results, I was so excited and I still get very excited, every time I photograph a wedding and then sit down and edit the pictures.
