What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
We know that weddings are expensive, but they only happen once. Make sure you have everything you want on your wedding day. Don't cut corners make sure you hire the right photographer/s and videographers that fit you and the images you are wanting. As your photographer, our job is to capture the essence of how you are feeling on this special day and we aim to make sure all our clients can look back in years to come and remember every aspect of their beautiful day.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Some of the quirky gifts that the brides and grooms pass over to each other on the wedding morning.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Once the boring stuff is completed (contracts, deposits etc) normally the first thing we will do is research the location to have an understanding of what is around and close to the location/s. From here we send out a questionnaire about the days timings and special events, what group photos you would like etc. We would normally then meet-up for coffee (we prefer this option as we want to get to know our couples) or hold a Zoom/FaceTime call to go through the couples thoughts and ideas of what they are looking for from their images/video. Where time and availability allow we can do a second meet up at the location (or we can visit on our own) here we will try and meet all those involved from the venue on the day. We will scout the location for location shots.
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
Grooms reaction to the first time he sees his Bride
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Just enjoy your day, photos that include rain can look spectacular when done right
Describe how you got into photography.
I was given a camera when I was young and started playing around learning how to use it and what happens with different settings (This was before youtube and tutorials) from here I found that I could capture things with a camera that I couldn't see with my eyes. I then started playing around with lighting to go with the taking photos and seeing the sorts of images I could create using light and shadows and reflections and that was it, I was hooked.
