Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Unobtrusive, relaxed, photo journalistic, creative, friendly.
What about your business are you most proud of?
The attention I give to my customers. I try to be not only their photographer, but a friend they can ask questions of on any part of their wedding plans. Basically if I can help I will.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Plan early. Many venues and photographers are booked well in advance. Left too late, means many couples miss out on on their preferred photographer and venue. Always check out your venues and suppliers. Get recommendations where possible. Try to see some of their work.
A good venue will have a good wedding planner. A good wedding planner is worth their weight in gold. They can alleviate much of the stresses of planning and organisation on the day itself.
But most of all when all the planning is done and the day arrives, ENJOY IT! It's your day to shine.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
A pre wedding shoot is a service I offer and this is a fantastic way for both me as the photographer and the client to get to know each other. It's relaxed, fun and helps to quell any nerves prior to the big day.
I always meet with my clients to discuss their photography requirements and talk through their options with regards to the packages I offer. I will always do my best, if needed, to tailor make my packages to best fit my clients needs.
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
I really enjoy taking the full group shot, and I believe this is a fantastic image for the client. When they look back on the day that one image will show all their family and friends together. Printed and framed they look fantastic and make a truly unforgettable reminder to the couple of their wedding.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
An Umberella. If willing and done right, the couple can still achieve some fantastic images even in the worst weathers.
Describe how you got into photography.
Started as a hobby, and basically progressed from there. I have studied and trained with some of the finest wedding photographers and gradually turned my hobby into the business it is today.
