What is your most memorable wedding?
A very last minute booking where the bride & groom had been let down twice due to ovid with photographers letting them down, I was booked with just a few weeks to go & it has become one of my very favourite days behind the lens. It was such a fun & relaxed day where I was truly sorry that I had to leave the party behind.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Relaxed, Creative, Fun, Considerate, Relaible
What about your business are you most proud of?
The fact my couples all feel at ease with me. whether they have studied Instagram & pintrest or they are super shy in front of a camera. I make wedding photography fun & stress free which results in some precious memoris being captured.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Don't allow yourself to get too overwhelmed by worrying about others. It is your day, so make it about what makes you happy. not what the guests, venue or Photographer want to happen.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
I had a bride & groom where the Groom was a Ice Hockey player & the Bride was partial to an afternoon tea. The centre pieces on the tables were customised Hockey Pucks & up & saucers.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Once a couple get in touch (or filled in the website enquiry form), I would send an initial questionnaire asking for some more details about the day. Before we even discuss pricing, we would arrange a phone call (or zoom chat) to have a chat about the day & what the expectations were from me in regard to the coverage they would like. during the call we would have a chat about themselves, the venue & any details about the day before. once we have discussed the pricing, if a couple chooses to work with me, we set up a Whatsapp group chat to discuss anything at any time in the run up to the wedding.
About 3-4 weeks before the wedding we would arrange to meet up for a pre-wedding "engagement" photoshoot to look at the venue & get used to each other’s personalities (& get used to being in front of the lens. go over any last-minute changes or details &generally make sure things are ok at both ends.
On the big day it's simple - your wish is my demand!! - I will liaise with the venue to make sure that everything is running smoothly & on time to take the stress off your shoulders so you can enjoy your day. If you have booked for a full day you will receive one of our signing frames that will have a photography taken during our engagement photoshoot that will be placed with pans to be signed by your guests, before I leave on the night that image will be swapped out for your official wedding portrait & left to continue to be signed (alongside some cards with the password to your private gallery on my website where your guests can view your wedding images once you have seen them).
the next day I will send you a hand full of Sneak peek images via Whatsapp to share with family & friends to keep them at bay! Once all the images have been edited, we will arrange to meet up & I will present your engraved wooden USB key containing your Wedding Gallery along with a slideshow of the highlights set to the song from your 1st dance. At this point I will open the gallery for your family & friends to be able to enjoy the images.
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
I call it the Grandma picture - one traditional picture of just the bride & groom in a classic pose so Grandma can have it on the bookcase!!
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
I had a Groom who wanted me o take a photo with his Groomman who was passed out on the Lawn of the venue.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Don't panic!! - both myself & the venue will have congintancy plans in place!
Describe how you got into photography.
ever since I was a child I had always been the kid with the camera in hand at every event. As I have got older my hobby has turned into a passion.
