Describe your typical process with a couple.
Once you've booked, you will receive a "Get to Know Us" questionnaire which allows myself to get to know you both as couple. I also set up a face to face meeting / engagement shoot (if you have included this) or a call. I also send out a copy of our wedding handbook which is full of tips, tricks and info. A month prior to the wedding and after our meet up, I then send out our wedding questionnaire, which is all about your big day. From here I create your individual timeline for on the day. Then I'm there on the day to capture and celebrate your love story!! Afterwards it then takes between 4-6 weeks to receive your personal online gallery, USB and prints. We also like to follow up with a post wedding questionnaire to reminise about your magical day, find out what your favourite moments were and what your most looking forward to as newlyweds!!
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
Either a confetti throw or champagne spray! But always make time for couple portraits - these are the photos you will cherish and show your grandkids one day.
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
Always a group shot of everyone.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
When picking a venue, always make sure that there are plenty of areas and spaces for photographs indoors with minimal distractions or that tie in with your decor. I'm always happy to shoot outside in all weather conditions, and if you are too then umbreallas can be a fun prompt too!!
Describe how you got into photography.
I started when I was 13 but didn't truly realise how much I loved it until I was studying fashion, with fashion photography being part of the course. I quickly ditched fashion for photography and studied from there, although the plan was to go straight into photography within the media industry, life had other ideas and I ended up moving to the south west, marrying my best friend and fell into a career in HR on the biggest construction site in Europe. Although I have a love for HR, everyday was stressful and my creative side was slowly fading. But I'm thankful for this time, I had very good career and learnt invaluable business skills which have supported me in creating my very own business, doing something that I love and what I'm most passionate about, photography - and not just any form of photography but wedding + couple photography!!
