What is your most memorable wedding?
My most memorable wedding was the wedding of Sam and Laura. They'd had one of the hardest covid's imaginable and Laura had sadly lost her father. The whole day not only was a tribute to the couples strength in all the adversity they had faced, but also to her dad. It was full of love, fun and memorable moments; I didn't want to leave!
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Candid, creative, edgy, documentary and memorable.
What about your business are you most proud of?
My ability to read moments, bond with people and reflect their emotions and personalities in my work.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Book suppliers who you feel comfortable with, and don't be afraid to specify EXACTLY what you want, there's no such thing as TMI in the wedding industry!
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Scrabble letters on the tables for guests to compete for a round of free drinks if they score the highest word. I thought it was a genius way to keep the guests entertained while they waited for food, and a lovely nod to the couples favourite game!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
I usually arrange a call or video call, then discuss all the elements of the day that the couple are planning. After this I will send over several bespoke quote options if I don't have any packages that fit their needs. Once a quote is accepted, I then take a £200 deposit to secure the day, and the remaining balance isn't due up until a week before the wedding. We then meet for an engagement shoot/walkaround the venue and discuss shots and timings. I check in with my couples the week before the big day and run through everything again.
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
Confetti shots. LOVE THEM.
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
Generation shot. 3 generations of couples, with the couple at the front. Just stunning.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Themed umbrellas, or clear ones! Luckily, if this isn't appealing, I always discuss back up options with my couples in the event of rain, so that everyone keeps calm and we still get the shots they need!
Describe how you got into photography.
My grandfather was an amazing photographer and gave me his Pax M3 when I was just 11. I then started documenting every family get together or day out and never stopped!
