Hi, I’m Evie, the photographer behind Evie SJ Photography. I’m a Worcestershire-based wedding photographer, capturing relaxed, natural and genuinely emotional photographs for couples who want to remember their wedding day exactly as it felt.
My approach is documentary-inspired, meaning I’m there to capture your day as it naturally unfolds rather than turning it into a series of posed photographs. I’ll gently guide you when you need a little direction, but most of the time I’m looking for the real moments happening around you: the nervous excitement before the ceremony, the way your friends and family react, the hugs, the laughter, the happy tears, the little details you spent months planning, and all those in-between moments you might not even notice on the day.
I know having your photograph taken can feel daunting, especially if you're not used to being in front of a camera. That’s why I keep things relaxed and easy-going. There’s no expectation to know how to pose, and no pressure to spend hours away from your guests. I’ll give you gentle prompts when needed and let the rest happen naturally.
Whether you’re planning an intimate ceremony, a countryside wedding, a relaxed barn celebration or a full day surrounded by everyone you love, my aim is always the same: to create photographs that feel like you.
I’m based in Worcestershire and regularly photograph weddings across Worcestershire, the West Midlands and the wider UK. I’m also happy to travel further afield for couples who love my style.
Alongside weddings, I also photograph engagements, couples, families and other special moments, so if you’d like to get comfortable in front of my camera before your wedding day, an engagement or couples session can be a lovely way to do that.
For me, wedding photography isn't about creating a perfect version of your day. It’s about preserving the real one: the people, the personalities, the emotions and the little moments that make it yours.
