I'm Ella, a documentary-editorial wedding photographer based in Milton Keynes, covering weddings across Buckinghamshire, Northamptonshire, Oxfordshire, Bedfordshire and beyond.
My approach
Most couples tell me they're nervous in front of a camera — and honestly, that's completely normal. The first thing I'll ask you to do is walk together, not pose. Something shifts when you're doing something ordinary instead of performing for a lens. That's when the real moments happen: the laugh you didn't plan, the look between you when no one else is watching.
My style sits between documentary and editorial. I spend most of the day watching and waiting for genuine moments — but I'm not just a fly-on-the-wall photographer. When it helps, I'll step in with simple, unobtrusive direction so you get photographs worth framing, without ever feeling staged or stiff. Think less "being photographed" and more "having someone in your corner who happens to be holding a camera."
Who I work with
I photograph weddings of every kind — church ceremonies, outdoor celebrations, quirky themes, unconventional venues — because what matters isn't how polished your day looks, it's that it feels like you. If you're worried about being camera-shy, or dread the idea of spending half the day posing, you're exactly who I love working with. Portraits with me are quick, relaxed, and genuinely enjoyable — then you're straight back to your people, actually living your wedding day rather than performing it.

Experience
How many photos will we receive?
It varies by package and how the day runs — as a guide, Intimate typically produces 100–200 images, Essential 400–600, and All In 600+. Quality over quantity: every image in your gallery is worth being there.
What happens if it rains?
We work with it. Some of the best shots happen in difficult weather — moody skies, dramatic light, couples who've stopped caring and are just enjoying it. I always have a plan B and I'll never let weather ruin a portrait session. But if you want to keep out of the rain I completely understand - we will adjust our plans, timings or shoot inside if needed - you'll still get an album you absolutely love either way!
How long until we get our photos?
A sneak peek of a handful of images within 48 hours. Your full gallery within 6 weeks. You'll get a private link to download everything at full resolution, keep forever, and I'll host your digital wedding gallery for a year!
Do you travel outside Milton Keynes?
Yes. No fee up to 60 miles outside Milton Keynes. For weddings further afield, travel is usually just fuel. We'll confirm everything in writing before you book. International weddings available too - just ask.
