Couldn't have asked for better!
Looking back myself and my Husband, Matt were so lucky to have our wedding late February 2020! As cliche as it sounds, we had the best day ever and this was made all the better for having Dan as our photographer. On the day, Dan made sure we weren't stood lining up for hours for photo after photo, instead we had some great friends and family shots at different locations around our venue, laughing along the way. His style was exactly what we wanted and we couldn't be happier with the photo's we have seen so far. We are so excited to see the others! Dan was funny, easy-going and put us both at ease. His laid-back nature does not deter from his professionalism, both prior to and on our day. For anyone looking for a photographer for their wedding, do no hesitate to contact Dan - he's the best!

Wonderful Wedding Photographer
Daniel was an amazing person to have to photograph our wedding. From the engagement shoot where he made us feel very comfortable even though we had never been photographed professionally before, to the wedding day where he made everything as easy and natural as possible, it was all a very positive experience and the photos perfectly capture our day.

The most magical day!
Dan photographed my sister in laws wedding last year so luckily for me, I knew straight away who I wanted to capture our day! Dan, you were professional, discreet and so much fun and we honestly can’t recommend you highly enough to people. You listened to exactly what we wanted to get from our photos and always replied quickly to any last minute panic questions I had to keep me at ease. We are so glad that we shared our day with you & are so looking forward to seeing the rest of our photos so we can relive it all again! Thank you a million!

Dan's photographs perfectly convey all the laughter, fun and love of our wedding day.
We could not have been happier with Dan as our wedding photographer. He was fantastic right from the start. From our first meeting over coffee we knew having Dan as part of our big day would be brilliant. We aren't fans of lots of staged or posed photos, we wanted someone who would be able to capture the day as it happened so we could relax and enjoy it with our friends and family. Someone who would capture brilliant little moments we'd otherwise never have seen as well as capture our memories as we remembered them. Dan totally got it. When we did our engagement/pre-wedding shoot, we had no idea what to expect but Dan put us instantly at ease. It felt like a fun day out with a friend, we never felt under a spotlight or awkward, Dan was so stealthy and subtle I don't even know he got so many of the shots he did, they were beautiful. On the big day Dan and Ruby were wonderful. All of our guests and suppliers commented how lovely they both were, how at ease they put everyone and how much everyone enjoyed having them there. Having them with me in the morning getting ready felt so relaxed and natural and throughout the day they somehow captured everything without ever being intrusive. Thanks to Dan and Ruby we absolutely love our wedding photos and thoroughly enjoyed our time with them. Dan's photographs perfectly convey all the laughter, fun and love of our wedding day. He has captured amazing cherished moments in the most beautiful way and we can't thank him enough for so wonderfully saving those amazing memories for us. Dan is a brilliant, creative, talented and passionate photographer and to top it off a kind, lovely, awesome bloke. We can't thank you enough for being so wonderful and such an important part of our big day. Thank you! Siobhon and James x

Many of our guests have told us how friendly, fun and professional they were for the whole day.
We got married in September 2018 and Dan and Ruby were absolute heroes in photographing our wedding! Many of our guests have told us how friendly, fun and professional they were for the whole day. We also had the photobooth in the evening which was both beautiful and gave us an amazing album keepsake as well as lots of fun for all ages of guests for the whole evening! We are so so happy we chose Dan to photograph our wedding!

What is your most memorable wedding?

Ah!! My first I'll never forget of course, Laura & Dan took a gamble with me and we're still in touch which I love. I do have my favourites parts of weddings from each year but to be honest no single wedding is ever the most memorable. I've been to lucky to be involved in so many wonderful days.

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Relaxed, fun, documentary, warm & joyful.

What about your business are you most proud of?

I prise myself in my professionalism but I'm most proud of being able to capture the moments for couples that they may not even see. I'm also proud of the genuine feedback that I get from couples and guests.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Ask for advice from friends and family but still go you own way. A lot of people have stories from their own weddings and some of the things they learnt could be invaluable to you. However a lot may not even apply or it may work out differently to you. It's your day, be assured that it will be amazing because you are there with loved ones around you.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

I love the creative ways couples choose to show their love from friends and families through their table set-ups and decoration. One wedding I was at had a woven map of the world that showcased all the places they'd been to. This also doubled up as a table plan. It was great.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

I like to meet with every couple before they book. I like to show more of my work and talk about their plans for their day and what they expect from a photographer. This really helps to get a feel about who they are and what their day will involve. Once the date is pencilled in I will send a quote through as discussed which, if accepted, I will ask for a deposit of 25%. There is a contract to sign. It's nothing scary and protects the couple as much as it does me but it is crucial for any professional service. I will send through various emails over the course of the time between the booking and the wedding. I offer up to two consultations and an engagement/pre-shoot as part of all of my packages so these will be arranged via email and booked in. Behind the scenes I make sure that I'm prepared for the day, that I've been to the venue, either on my own or with the couple. Running up to the day I will make sure that I have a run-through of times so I know where to be and when. If I'm travelling over an hour to the venue I'll more than likely have agreed to stay in a near by hotel (nothing fancy required) with the couple. This makes sure there is no danger of being stuck in traffic for the big day. On the day I will be working hard capturing the day and making sure my assistant and I are on hand to help where ever is needed and to direct any group shots within the pre-arranged times. After the wedding I will back up the photographs to two separate locations and then go about organising and editing the photographs from the day. This process usually takes about 8-10 weeks during busy periods but I make every effort to deliver the photographs in a timely manor to the couple. Once the photos are ready, I will send a link through to their private online gallery. If an album has been ordered, this is the point at which the final decisions will be made on size and style and the couple can easily pick the photos through their gallery. This will then be invoiced and once the proof has been signed it will be ordered. From ordering to delivery it's usually about 6 weeks.

What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?

I don't agree there is one. It's your day, they should be unique to you. I work very hard to make your photographs work with you in mind. If you have a pre-wedding shoot then you'll get to see this at work. I'm not a fan of certain types of poses. However there are staple photographs of details that I will take but they won't be the same for every wedding.

What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?

Ha! I recently have been asked to have the bridal party run away from a blown up version of their dog! Lots of Photoshop will go into that one :). Night time shots with flash lights are always different and striking. I love doing these if the couple is up for it. I also love going out to adventurous and striking landscape points near by with the couple.

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

Umbrellas ;) - Inside shots are all well and good but umbrellas outside are still better for me.

Describe how you got into photography.

I studied photography and university and never looked back :).
