Personal Message from the Manager

Name of Wedding Contact: Colleen
I'm Colleen (of Colleen O'Sullivan Photography - big surprise!) My style of photography is creative, colourful and candid.I'm super friendly and like to create a relaxed and fun atmosphere to make sure that you get the best photographs possible. I will get as excited as your maid of honour when I see you in your dress / tux and will probably shed a tear or 2 at the speeches. The most important thing for you to know is that I would love nothing more than to be your wedding photographer.

We genuinely can not thank Colleen enough for all her hard work on our wedding day and all the amazing moments she captured. She is professional and always went abouve and beyond to help us any way she could. Neither of us enjoy having our pictures taken but she made us feel at ease and the end results were amazing! Thankyou Colleen

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Creative, candid, colourful, emotive and FUN

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

It's a huge cliche but my advice would be to just enjoy it. When you feel yourself getting stressed out about the colour of the napkins or whether you want a DJ or a band, just remember why you're doing it in the first place.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

I once covered a wedding that had a caricaturist at the drinks reception doing portraits of the guests at the bar which I thought was a brilliant idea.

What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?

I like to get the couple practising their first dance alone. Gives you a chance to get your dancing shoes warmed up and gives me some truly fantastic intimate photos.

What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?

A photo of 2 flower girls pretending to sign the register which was adorable.

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

If you're feeling adventurous, I always carry an umbrella and the reflections in puddles can make for some great dramatic romantic pictures. Alternatively there's always a feature of the venue we can use to our advantage, a staircase, a fire place, a piano, a bar, we just need to get creative!!

Describe how you got into photography.

My (now) husband bought me my first camera 7 years ago and I fell in love immediately (with him and photography.) I started on animals but quickly progressed to people and never looked back. Then in 2018 he saw a post on facebook from a bride who's photographer had taken their money and disappeared and couldn't afford to pay a new photographer. My husband volunteered me. I was absolutely terrified but once I got into it I loved it and couldn't stop smiling for days afterwards and I knew from then that this was what I wanted to do.
