What is your most memorable wedding?
Suyashi & Harpal were having an intimate registry office wedding ahead of the big event in India, I was able to secure access and use to Everyman- a beautiful cinema within walking distance to the registry office for them to have their portrait session following some shots of them with their family outside the registry office. Suyashi asked for glamour, romance and intimacy.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Bold, creative, modern, intimate, romantic.
What about your business are you most proud of?
I am very passionate about creating end to end experiences for my brides, I have helped my brides find the right dress & book venues. I won't get involved unless you want me too but I pride myself in going the extra mile.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
When I got married I joined a Facebook group for brides and I found that advice and recommendations invaluable.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
I love a sparkler send off!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
I start all my journeys with an in person meeting, this gives me an opportunity to get to know you as a couple and understand your style. If you decide I am the right photographer for you I'll then book in an engagement shoot- this is a 30 minute in your favourite place and is complimentary, it gives you both an opportunity to get in front of a lens together before the big day and shake off any nerves and also gives us more of a chance to get to know each other.
If possible I'll visit your venue a month before the wedding date to scout for the best locations and send you my ideas, most of my clients work on a Pinterest album together in the lead up to the wedding. A week before your wedding I'll ask you to send a list of the combinations of any group photos you need so I can make sure I get all the photos you want.
On the day I'll be with you every step of the way, I'll be discreet during your ceremony and loud during your group shots. Many of my clients need direction when it comes to posing and I'm a pro at getting everyones best side!
I send a few sneak peaks on the same day as your wedding- you want something to share with your friends and family! And the rest of your album within 2 weeks. My service includes digital albums you can share with friends and family and download from. We can talk about prints and albums but there's no pressure to buy from me.
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
It has to be the classic shot of you both looking down the lens, the rest of the shots are amazing but the photo that your family will look back on will be the classic full length smiling one.
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
Passionate kissing in a lift.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Clear umbrellas (I bring some with me!) I do a lot of work in a studio and I am very experienced with a flash or two so I can bring the outdoor light inside.
Describe how you got into photography.
My Dad was a wedding photographer! So I was shooting weddings with him as a teenager. I left my corporate job in 2021 to pursue my dreams and haven't looked back.
