Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Relaxed, Creative, Innovative, Imaginative, Friendly
What about your business are you most proud of?
The feedback I get from clients
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
You will spend more time with your photographer on the big day than anyone else. For this reason it is important that you feel confident and comfortable with your photographer as that relationship can have a serious effect on the quality of your wedding pictures.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
An initial meeting to discuss their plans and to determine how best to meet their requests and stay within their photography budget. This followed by an engagement or pre shoot that helps the couple to get used to being in front of the camera and also get used to interacting with me. Further liaison between ourselves before the wedding day including preparation of a shot list. This period also usually involves a venue visit. After the event there would be another meeting to look at the images and from that to choose the album/s.
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
Its one that they may not realise they should have but is the one that the photographer will spot during the course of the day that simply and beautifully illustrates their love for each other.
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
It was where the bride and groom wanted me to take a picture after he had lifted the back of her dress to show her new married name embroidered on the knickers!!!
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
White umbrellas plus the implementation of a pre prepared wet weather plan.
Describe how you got into photography.
I had my first camera from my father at the age of 7 (it was a box brownie with a broken shutter) and I have had at least one camera ever since. My current count is 7.
