I offer relaxed, natural wedding photography across Orkney, with options ranging from shorter celebrations to full-day coverage.
My aim is to give you photographs that bring back more than how your wedding looked. I want them to take you back to the nerves and anticipation before the ceremony, the laughter throughout the day and what it felt like to have all your favourite people together in one place.
I pay just as much attention to what is happening around the edges of your wedding as I do to the moments at the centre of it. That means looking out for the expressions exchanged across a room, children getting up to mischief, grandparents watching from the sidelines and all the reactions and little moments you may not notice at the time.
Most of the day is photographed as it naturally unfolds, without constantly directing you or asking you to repeat moments. When we do step away for portraits, I’ll give you enough guidance that you never have to wonder what to do with yourselves, while keeping everything comfortable and true to you. Family photographs are handled in the same way: we’ll cover the important combinations efficiently so you can get back to your guests and enjoy your day.
The result is a stunning gallery filled with the photographs you expect alongside plenty of moments you may not have realised were happening, that you and your loved ones will cherish forever.

Do you offer bespoke wedding packages?
Absolutely. My wedding and family collections are designed around the most common requirements, but they won’t suit everyone. If you need something a little different, I can create bespoke coverage based on the time, location and photography you need. Bespoke photography is priced from £150 per hour.
What if we feel awkward in front of a camera?
That is completely normal and I understand. You don’t need to know how to pose or what to do with your hands! My approach is relaxed and low-pressure, with gentle guidance when you need it and plenty of space for genuine moments to happen naturally.
How do you handle family photos on the wedding day?
I’ll work with you before the wedding to create a list of the family and group photographs that matter most. On the day, I’ll usually rope in a groomsman and bridesmaid to help find everyone and get them done smoothly, without keeping you away from your celebrations for too long.
How far in advance should we book?
For weddings, I recommend getting in touch as soon as you have your date confirmed, particularly for popular summer dates, to avoid disappointment.
What happens after I get in touch?
Once you’ve completed the contact form, I’ll be in touch within 24 hours, Monday to Friday. We’ll arrange a relaxed chat to talk through your plans, answer any questions and make sure we’re the right fit before anything is confirmed. If you decide to book, I’ll guide you through the next steps and keep everything as simple as possible.
What if I’m nervous about photos?
Most of my clients tell me they feel exactly the same! My sessions are relaxed and natural, with gentle guidance whenever you need it. Rather than asking you to hold awkward poses, I’ll encourage you to spend time together while I capture the genuine smiles, laughter and little moments that make your photographs feel like you.
What if the weather changes?
Living in Orkney means I know the weather can be unpredictable, but some of my favourite photographs have been taken beneath dramatic skies. I have professional-grade equipment and backups to ensure we can continue to shoot. However, if conditions are forecast to be unsafe or would significantly affect your experience, we’ll make the decision together and consider a backup option, such as a backdrop set up at your venue.
When do we receive our photos?
Every image is carefully selected and individually edited to ensure you receive a beautiful gallery you’ll treasure for years to come. Wedding galleries are typically delivered within 3–4 weeks, although some bigger weddings take a little longer due to the number of photographs involved. I’ll keep you updated throughout the process, so you’ll always know what to expect.
