I’m originally from Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire but moved to a small village called Penmaenmawr, North Wales, During lockdown to be near the mountains and sea.
In my spare time you will find me chasing sunsets, Wondering around the mountains or playing on the sea. I LOVE being on or around the water either paddle boarding, Sailing or swimming, Put me near water & I'll be in there!
I’ve got two little ones; Well one boy who's 5, Eugene and one no so little who’s 8, Mia. I also have a not so little dog (Huw) who is a Lab x Rottie and is the size of a small horse!
I LOVE motorbikes; Steak, Lemon cheesecake & wine!
I spent most of my adult life as a florist, Opening the doors of my own florist shop at 19 but after years in the industry as a florist & venue dresser I finally got my hands on a camera during lockdown and the rest leads me here.
I wasn’t a person who was given a camera when they were young and instantly fell in love. Photography found me in my late twenties and became a way of processing the ups and downs of my life & being creative.
But I absolutely LOVED capturing memories through my camera from the off, My hobby turned into a passion...And so began Behind Lucy's Lens
My photography style is relaxed & candid, and I shoot in a mixtures of ways. From standing back on the sidelines, waiting for the little moments to capture, to soaking up the atmosphere among the guests. I take the time to capture all the beautiful details of the day, often without you even knowing.
Then for a dedicated period of time, it’ll be just us, you the newly weds and myself, spending some time really focussing on you, laughing and chatting, Capturing your couples photos. Before your day we go through a shot list making sure I know which photos are important to you & so I have a list for group shots.
I take a mixture of "Traditional" wedding photos along with some more creative & detailed shots during your day. If you hadn't realised by now... I LOVE black & white
