What is your most memorable wedding?
A wedding I shot in Cyprus. It was so hot that when I wasn't taking a photo I had to shield my gear from the sun with my body! Phew!
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Relaxed, candid, reportage, documentary, filmic.
What about your business are you most proud of?
The flexibility. Planning a wedding can be a stressful time and I believe that it's not just my job to document your day but also to make life as simple as possible. That's why I am completely flexible with your day - No two days are the same!
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Start planning early!
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
One couple had their guests write their favourite song on the RSVP. When it got to the wedding, all of their guests favourite songs featured in the playlist for the evening.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
From the initial enquiry we organise a date to meet face to face to make sure that we are the right fit for one another and you can ask any questions you might have. I'll normally give my couples a quick questionnaire so I know the full details of what they are after, and those shots that can't be missed. This helps to me to get to know you better and personalise the coverage on the day, as no two couples are alike.
From here, I'll give my couples a contract to sign, just to make sure both of us are protected and ask for the deposit within 28 days to secure the booking. Then relax!
A few days before the wedding I'll drop you a message just to make sure no details have changed.
And then the best day of your life!
After the wedding day, it can take up to 6 weeks for your images that have been edited (no photoshop, promise!). You'll then be sent a link to your private, password protected online gallery and they're all yours to love, share, remember and enjoy!
You are under no pressure whatsoever to buy any prints or albums from me but if that is a service you wanted any advice on or further information then I'm only a click away.
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
Honestly, there isn't one. Every wedding day is different, so there isn't a standard one fits all shot!
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
My style of photography is candid, so most of my couples just enjoy the day and I hope that my natural photo's capture those moments that can be so quick to miss!
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
A Sun dance! (But don't worry, I always carry a spare umbrella)
Describe how you got into photography.
I have always loved taking photographs of people, drawn in by the expressions, emotions and individualism of each subject. So what better day to document than the happiest day of your life. The thing that makes weddings in particular so enthralling to me is that you can learn the ins and outs of a wedding but no two couples are the same. No two loves are the same. And so no two days are the same.
