Describe your typical process with a couple.
After the initial enquiry I usually set up a meeting to chat and get to know the couple and chat about the day, then I let the couple speak in private at home and if they want to book then a deposit is taken and contract signing is required. The couple have the option to have a pre wedding shoot included, this gives them the chance to get to know me better and my style and get some great shots and tips on posing... I have another meeting with the couple about a month before the wedding to go over everything again and then wedding day..... woo hoo............
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
That one photo that can printed large and put up in the house and visitors will be wowed by.
I want to see the connection between the couple, not a posed photo with cheesy smiles but still a amazing moment between two people in love.
A photo that could be on a movie poster. You're all dressed up, the set is ready now lights, camera, action!!!!!!
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
Usually I'm the one coming up with the crazy ideas, although I was once asked to photograph one of the groomsmen who had lost a bet and had to wear a thong for the whole wedding day.. I'll leave that image in your head, suffice to say I don't use that photograph in any of my portfolio's.....
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Just enjoy it.. Don't let it ruin your day.. I carry brollies and am super prepared for any eventuality... Theres always an option, we just need to make an alternative awesomeness!!
