What is your most memorable wedding?
It has to be Holly & Matt's on a farm, just because of the pyramid of hay bales they built for me to take the group photos on!
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Relaxed, informal, storytelling, contemporary, timeless
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
With regards to photographers, how well you get on with them, is just as important as liking their style. We're there all day on your wedding day, if you want those fun, relaxed images, you need to be able to be yourself with your photographer and have a bit of a laugh with them.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
I always love seeing hand made things at peoples weddings
Describe your typical process with a couple.
It usually starts off with an email, then either a consultation in a coffee shop, or their home, followed by staying in touch via emails. I like to get to know my couples and I'd always recommend doing an engagement shoot if possible, it allows us time to get to know each other better.
I'll then meet with the couple again a month or so before the wedding to finalise timings and double check everything, then turn up when they want me on the day, which is usually early enough for bridal prep.
Then a month after the wedding, I'll arrange to meet up to deliver the pictures.
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
I'm sure lots of people have an answer for this, but I don't. Every couple is different, every wedding unique, the picture you should make sure you have? One that shows the real you on the day.
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
Probably the family pictures on the hay bales.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Just don't stress, rain doesn't ruin anything unless you let it!
Describe how you got into photography.
I took it up when I started travelling more, wanting to document my travels, and I just fell in love with it.
