What is your most memorable wedding?
I don't have one that sticks out particularly but I have enjoyed shooting weddings in remote locations.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Candid | Reportage | Natural | Unposed | Memorable
What about your business are you most proud of?
My progression for sure. I love learning new techniques and gaining a better understanding of how to make weddings memorable for the couples.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Prioritise your budget towards the aspects of your day that REALLY matter and you will look back on and be glad of. Too many times couples stress over the things that will mean nothing years down the line. Your photos will be one of the few things you will have for years and years to come so consider this when budgeting.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Can't say I have a stand out memory of personal touches. Every wedding is special and unique to the couple.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
After the initial enquiry from the couple I will encourage to meet online via a Zoom call or in person to discuss their plans in more detail. I find this gives couples a great opportunity to ask questions whilst also getting an idea of me as a person. This is something that I think is hugely important when choosing a photographer; being sure you're not just happy with their style of work but that you feel comfortable with them - after all, their going to be with you fo the majority of your big day.
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
Elderly relatives. They won't be around forever and your wedding day may be one of the few chances you have to get a photo with that special person.
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
I had a couple who wanted a photo with them in a field with Highland Cows...we did it! Mooooooooo!!!
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Umbrellas!! I have the equipment and experience to ensure we still get some stunning photos even in the rain.
Describe how you got into photography.
My Dad used to have a camera and would show us slides of family outings. I am a memory maker and love being able to see photos from years gone bye.
