What is your most memorable wedding?
I'd have to say it was Hannah and Will's, they were the most friendly and mature couple I've come across with, to the point of developing into a friendship. Plus their chemistry together was off the charts, they just clicked with each other, so it was delightful to shoot their wedding. I've never meet another couple like them.
What about your business are you most proud of?
How I've managed to get so far in just a couple of years, working with and meeting so many different people doing something I'm passionate about. Leaving behind a career I cared nothing about to pursue your dream job at the age of 32 is actually quite hard, and can be scary, but work hard and have faith that it will work, that's the greatest achievement for me.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Relax guys, take it easy! It's supposed to be fun and enjoyable, take your time and go with the flow. Be like water my friends.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Usually there's a meet up first, a few months before the wedding, to iron out the details, ideas, must-haves, pricing, delivery, and what type of coverage the couple is looking for. Having a face to face chat is always recommended as it let's everyone get a feel of how synergistic we are with each other.
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
The classical he & she alone photos. Trust me, your parents will want this photo.
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
Perhaps not so much original, but many folks like to ask for a photo of themselves jumping to get that frozen-in-mid air effect. It's always fun, by the third jump (trying to sync jumps with each other) they're exhausted!
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
A stylish but complementary (to what you're wearing) umbrella. You can do a lot of cool stuff in the rain if you're willing to get a bit wet.
Describe how you got into photography.
Photography has been with me as far as I can remember, I still recall winning my first film camera when I was 12, and since then the fascination never stopped.
I never took it too seriously and it was always a hobby, until eventually I got fed up of a career in retail and decided to take the leap. It was the second best decision of my life, the first was marrying my wife!
