What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Ask for reliable help (family/friend or professional) for some of the details, even if you want to do everything yourself.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
The couple honoured Brides' late dad by having his Rolling Stones jacket draped over one of the ceremony chairs.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
I will usually have a consultation chat (either in person or virtually) to discuss the wedding plans and what are their needs and desires for the photography. I will go through timings and ideas with them and make sure we're on the same page - this is when I may be able to help and give advice. Once the date is booked with contract and deposit paid I will encourage an engagement shoot which is included in their package as an opportunity to get to know each other and get used to being in front of the camera (I also teach the couple small posing tips and tricks so it's not as overwhelming on the day). 1 month before the wedding I will get in touch again to revise timelines and overall plans for the day. After the Wedding Day the couple will receive a couple preview images to enjoy, share and continue basking in the happiness of the day.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Bring a pretty umbrella and wellies and embrace the weather by taking playful photos in the rain
Describe how you got into photography.
I have always been interested in photographing my travels, events and on occasion go around the city with my best friend for an impromptu photoshoot. After graduating University I decided to try making photography my career and I knew straight away there would be nothing more fun and exciting than photographing weddings. I feel the same way to this day.
