Alexandra Barfoot Photography Full Description
My photographic style mixes traditional portraiture with natural moments captured as the day unfolds. It's lovely to work with couples who appreciate having photographs for great memories. I love getting to know what's important to you so I can capture those special moments - like family members, grandparents and friends who are able to attend. It's great to hear your ideas, look at your inspiration and work with you to create stylish, natural photographs of your very special day. I am a proud supplier of the award winning Folio Fine Art Wedding Albums. The leather bound albums are in a league of their own and are the perfect choice for displaying your beautiful wedding memories. The price you pay depends on how much of the day you would like covered so pricing is tailored to your individual needs and requirements. Coverage can begin from bridal preparation right through to the first dance if you wish!

FAQs
Find out a bit more from our FAQs

What is your most memorable wedding?

Pets are part of the family so I love weddings when the bride or groom want photos taken with their cats, dogs or even horses. Sometimes this is done in the morning before the service or we can nip home after the ceremony. I'm happy to accommodate these requests.

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Natural, Organised, Discreet, Accommodating and Patient

What about your business are you most proud of?

Repeat business from families! It's a real pleasure to be asked to photograph a wedding and it's very special to cover more than one wedding in the family. I appreciate recommendations to friends and family of the bride and groom.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Your day is there to be enjoyed whole heartedly so if you don't like the sound of something replace it with something more enjoyable.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

I am happy to answer enquiries by email or in person - whatever suits the couple. A deposit secures your date and about 6 weeks before the wedding I will gather all your timings for the day and photographic requirements so I know where to be at all times and so your day runs smoothly without you having to think about it.

What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?

A few family photos are important and if you are organised they won't take long.

What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?

I don't think the most original photos can be planned, you just have to see what the weather and light is doing on the day and work with it. We've taken some great shots in the rain which weren't planned but turned out really well!

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

Prepare for a rainy day with an indoor location for family photos whether it's in your church or wedding venue and that way you won't have to stress on the day and it will be a bonus if you can get outside.

Describe how you got into photography.

I studied Fine and Applied Art and specialised in Digital Photography at the University of Ulster. I have always been into photography and enjoy taking photos of my family and friends on my polaroid camera when I'm not working.
