Hello, my name’s Alex and I’m a local and destination wedding photographer based out of London. I created Alex Dimos Photography because I’m passionate about documenting people’s stories, and there’s no better story to tell than a wedding. My own story isn’t a case of being given a camera and never looking back. With a degree in product design and a background in the creative industries, it wasn’t until my early 20s that I discovered a flair for photography and the power of images to tell a story. I loved taking pictures of people and places – the key elements not just behind every story, but every wedding. Since then I’ve turned my passion into a career, meeting fantastic couples and shooting beautiful ceremonies across the UK and around the world. My approach is relaxed and informal – I try to spend time with couples beforehand to find out what’s important to them, while on the day I blend in like any another guest with a camera, even if I’m with you during the preparations. By keeping things natural and starting when and where you want me, I’m able to gently tell your story as it unfolds. I use both documentary photography and fine art portraiture to create images that tell the ‘real’ story of your wedding day. From fleeting moments as they happen to shooting couple and group portraits, my goal is to make everybody viewing your wedding photographs feel like they were there, even if they weren’t.
