Hey there, I'm James, Crikey, What a year 2020 was for the wedding industry eh?
Yet I am still here pursuing my dream of wanting to be the absolute best wedding photographer in the world! Wanna help me get there?
As we move forward from 2020 I am more prepared than ever to move forward, it's going to be a hectic time but I absolutely love what I do for a living and there is nothing else I would rather be doing.
But let's be honest you didn't come here to read my rambling on about random tidbits, you actually want to get to know about me and my business!
I am Professionally Qualified, City & Guilds Accredited, a qualified member of the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers, a Registered Professional with The Guild of Wedding Photographers and I also hold 5 other qualifications in photography.
I have over £10k in kit and equipment and a professional editing suite with a huge monitor for all of the darkroom work.
I shot 52 weddings in 2019 and I still managed to shoot 7 in 2020 despite all of the restrictions, the majority of my customers either cancelled or postponed until late 2021/22.
I am eager to get going again and you won't find many people with a hunger to be successful and to do a great job like mine.
I am a people person, I am confident and happy in large crowds, around new people and I have a natural ability to make people smile.
I served 12 years in the British Army, leaving with a conduct record of exemplary, this typically means I am on time every time, I am always immaculately presented and I will be good with your grandparents!

Lovely man very easy to talk to and get along with and very very reliable.

On the big day James was amazing.
James did the photos for my wedding in October 2019.
Meeting up with James beforehand for a meet and greet to get to know how he works and sort out things for the day, James was very professional and down to earth. Very relaxed and calm.
On the big day James was amazing biggest thing I can say is I never knew he was there apart from the compulsory Bride and groom and usual shots, he was in the background and got some amazing photos.

What is your most memorable wedding?
Every wedding in 2020 was very memorable for me because of what was going on, I am so keen to start doing what I love again that I will vividly remember all of the weddings I do for years to come.

What about your business are you most proud of?
The fact that I am still here and able to offer my passion as a product for happy couples after a global pandemic is something that I am thankful for every day.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Get a credit card for peace of mind when booking everything!
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Every wedding is unique in its own right, Every wedding has its own personal touches and it would be unfair of me to pick a favourite when so much effort went into creating so many amazing days.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
A couple express interest and I will forward them the details of what is included either via email, over the phone or face to face.
If the couple then decide to book me I send an invoice for my work and my contract, once this is accepted then we will either have a conversation over the phone or a face to face meeting to discuss the finer details. Once this has been done there isnt really much else to do, if the couple want an engagement shoot we will meet for that, but other than that I will email every month or so to make sure they are okay and see how everything is getting on. about a month before the event the balance is due and we will either talk over the phone or meet face to face (or email if the couple prefer) to go through the finer details to make sure that the photography coverage runs smoothly on the day.
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
That depends on the couple really, everybody has different tastes and as photography is art it can be quite subjective, every person has differing tastes.
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
A little girl once asked me to take a photograph of her while she was standing in front of the wedding car holding a sign in front of her face that read 'im cute'.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Umbrellas!
Describe how you got into photography.
I discovered my love for photography whilst I was serving in the Army, I had always worked in professional engineering and I was dissatisfied with it for a long time but resigned myself to the fact that most people don't enjoy their job, I discovered my love for photography and the more time went on the more I yearned to be a photographer, the first time I shot a wedding I knew exactly what I wanted to do, not even a global pandemic could keep me away from doing what I love.
