Whirligig Ceilidh Band

For over three decades, Whirligig’s blend of traditional music from Britain and Ireland, coupled with lively modern songs, has kept this North Norfolk based band constantly in demand for Ceilidhs and Barn Dances throughout East Anglia. The individual band members all have backgrounds in rock and jazz as well as folk which results in music with a vibrant edge that is fun to dance to. The traditional dances appeal to all ages so are perfect for Weddings, Anniversaries or any large family occasion. There are four of us musicians to provide a full and lively sound and in addition our dedicated and highly experienced caller is there to explain the dances and occasionally lead or join in. We have no set list so all music and dances are chosen on the night to suit the age and ability of those taking part. We are fully self contained with our own PA system and lighting for our performance area and are more than happy to try and add any songs to our repertoire that might be required for a first dance or we can of course just play recorded music of your choice.
