Wedding Notes

Wedding notes are a versatile musical ensemble. We are based in Devon and specialise in providing live music for wedding ceremonies and receptions. Our usual line up consists of Steve and Kate Grant (Flute, Clarinet and Saxophone) and Simon Carter (Keyboard). Alternative line ups are available on request. Steve, Kate and Simon are all accomplished musicians and perform regularly in the local area. Our ability to play a variety of instruments means that we can play music from a vast range of genres and cater to almost any taste to help you create the perfect mood for your special day. We can help you to decide what music you would like us to play if required and we are also able to accommodate requests to ensure that you get that ‘special song’. During the Ceremony If you would like us to play at your wedding ceremony we are able to offer the following: ​ Guest Arrival ~15 - 20 minutes of background music Arrival of the Bride ~ 1 piece of music/song Signing of the Register ~ 2 - 3 pieces of music/songs Exit ~ 1 piece of music/song ​ During the Drinks Reception If you would like us to play at your drinks reception we can do so for up to an hour. We can do this as well as playing for your ceremony if you would like us to, but please remember that it will take us a few minutes to relocate and set up. You can have a different line up to your ceremony if you would like a bit of variety! ​ During the Wedding Breakfast If you would like us to provide background music for your wedding breakfast we will play until the conclusion of your dessert course. We are able to do this in addition to playing for your ceremony and/or drinks reception if desired. ​ Please contact us to talk about your specific requirements and for a quote. We are very flexible and will do all we can to meet your preferences. We are able to provide advice regarding music choices if required, you can choose from our existing set list or we can source and arrange special requests.
