Tru Groove are an energetic 6-8 piece party band made up of talented musicians who have years of experience touring and recording for famous Chart Artists such as JLS, Girls Aloud, Will Young, The Saturdays, Roy Ayers, Jocelyn Brown, Anastacia, Il Divo, Alexander O'Neil, Jaki Graham, Beverley Knight to name a few.
The band performances are high energy, entertaining, and they love engaging with their audience and getting you involved, the band provide the absolute best in live entertainment. Their music is full on party style, so you can expect a packed dance floor once they hit the stage, they cover all genres of music from Soul, Pop, Dance, Funk, bit of rock, including Current Chart Hits right back to hits from the 60's/70's.
Tru Groove are a Top UK Party Band available to perform at Weddings and Private Events so get in touch if you need a band big or small. The band have a great reputation for throwing a great wedding party and getting all the guests on the dance floor, young and old! They can provide entertainment for your whole wedding day from your wedding ceremony, or a cocktail duo to a 6 - 8 piece party band (with our horn section), we can adjust our line-up to suit your wedding day.
If you require something more relaxed the band can also provide a chilled Cocktail/Reception set with Jazz, pop & soul classics creating a more laid back atmosphere. You can have a small intimate duo or trio up to a full band with horns, everything can be especially tailored for you just ask. For a full entertainment package the band can also offer you our very own DJ service to compliment the night and supply a professional 4K PA sound system and lighting.
For your peace of mind there is 10m Public Liability Insurance and the band are members of the Alliance of Musicians and Performers.

I was totally blown away by the band!
I went to a fantastic wedding on 28th August 2021, which was always going to be a joyful day. Tru Groove were booked for the evening entertainment,. Oh my days, they bought the party and then some. It was incredible, what a band. Talented musicians and the vocals? Insane!
From the first dance to the last song there was only one issue, the dance floor wasn’t big enough to accommodate everyone who wanted to dance. It was buzzing, it was fun and it was honestly brilliant. I was totally blown away by the band.
Set 1 was soulful Motown kind of vibe and set 2 recent covers of popular music with a twist. I didn’t sit down all night, I couldn’t it was impossible, the music was too good.
I can see why you are regulars at The Jam House, and you deserve all of the support and recognition. Thank you for such a memorable evening.

Incredible performers
My husband and I got married a couple of weeks ago and Tasita and Stuart performed in our church for our processional, recessional and signing of the register songs. They are both incredible performers and Tasita is the most beautiful singer. They were so professional but also so kind and warming and completely made the service. We would definitely recommend Tru Groove and cannot wait to see you again on the 13th august for the party!

Incredible performance!
We just wanted to express again our gratitude for an incredible performance at our wedding at Blaisdon Hall last month. Whilst I had hoped for big things, you surpassed our expectations in every way. Having been to over 60 weddings myself over the last 15 years, I can easily say (without bias to my own wedding!) that you are the best wedding entertainment I have seen. Your amazing musical talent was clear from the second you started, and your combination of that, with the ability to interact with our friends and family and get everyone involved was unforgettable. They created the crazy party atmosphere we wanted.
Tru Groove performed at our wedding on 21st December 2018. From the start Tasita was so easy to communicate with - we had several calls before the wedding day which completely put me at ease as she was able to answer every query I had. This also made the whole process completely seamless with regards to their set up up on the wedding day and the timings of performances etc. It was a slick operation. We were quite specific with our requirements and song choices too, but Tru Groove completely hit the mark with their fantastic performances. From the first dance to the unbelievable garage medley and their set in-between performances, everything was absolutely perfect. They created the crazy party atmosphere we wanted and the dance floor was completely rammed the whole night! We’ve had such lovely comments on Tru Groove’s performance from our wedding guests who loved dancing the night away as we did. In fact, relatives have gone on to book them for their upcoming wedding! We couldn’t recommend them more! xx

We have some many great memories to choose from, but a Bride and Groom doing the Limbo with us comes to mind and a bride hoisted on the Grooms shoulders high-fiving everyone are two great memories we've experienced at our weddings.

The wonderful testimonials we receive from our clients are really lovely, and the recommendations we receive from those. The compliments of professionalism and care from our clients. We have on-going contact and relationships with our clients even years after their weddings have passed and perform at many other events for them and their friends, we love that.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Book your musical entertainment early, at least 1 year in advance is advised as the good suppliers will always get booked up early. I can't tell you how many disappointed couples we have had to turn away because they have enquired too late!
Ask your wedding venue IF THEY HAVE A SOUND LIMITER & IT'S LEVEL before you book a band, this can impact heavily on the type of music and atmosphere you can create for your wedding evening party.
What makes a romantic first dance?
A song that is personal to you both, that you both love.
What is your number one floor-filler?
Oooh that's a hard question there are so many great ones, but September by Earth Wind & Fire always seems to do it for most people.
