What is your most memorable wedding?
This is a hard one! Every wedding is unique in its own way but one that sticks out in our minds was a recent wedding where the Mother of the Bride surprised the happy couple with our fabulous singing waiter performance. They had no idea that we, 'waiters' and 'events staff', had been there all day serving them. Once the show began, we blasted into 'Shake it off', chosen by the Mother of the Bride for her Taylor Swift loving daughter. When it came to the rap, the beautiful bride wowed everyone by rapping with confidence and her sassy attitude! We were bowled over and her guests and husband absolutely loved it! The atmosphere in the room was electric and the whole wedding party got into the party spirit and danced the evening away! We had so much fun too!
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Unique, surprising, impressive, entertaining, memorable.
What about your business are you most proud of?
We are incredibly proud of our company and the team. All of our artistes have a long list of credits, from the West End to the Royal Opera House. But the thing we are most proud of is providing a memorable performance for happy couples who are starting the first day of the rest of their lives together! We are proud to be part of their special day!
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
We suggest that every couple should do their research when wedding planning. The wedding industry is a crowded place, yet their are fantastic entertainers and suppliers out there who will bend over backwards to make your special day perfect. Watch videos, read reviews, listen to recommendations, chat to the company and those who will be responsible for your wedding day. If your gut tells you it's right, go for it, but if your gut reaction doesn't feel right, continue to search for the suppliers that are right for you. Wedding planning is stressful at times but the right supplier will make the process enjoyable and exciting too!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
As soon as we receive an enquiry we talk to the bride and groom about their preferences and we advise those who are not too sure what they would like! We talk about the wedding, discussing the different scenarios which could take place (could a waiter fall over/could it be the chefs last day?). Clients can also ask for a particular special song or any other special requests. Once the initial ideas are in place, we contact the venue and any other professional who may be involved in the day (such as caterers, photographers, videographers etc) to ensure everyone knows what is going to happen. We borrow uniforms and mingle in with staff so nobody would ever guess we are actors! Before the wedding day, we contact the bride and groom to assure them that all is prepared and ready to go (and to have a general chit chat!). The clients just need to sit back and relax from the moment of booking us!
What makes a romantic first dance?
We love it when couples dance to a meaningful song - something which is special to them or their families. We often stay and sing for the first dance and the mix of the couples happiness, a fantastic live voice and the sentimental song leads to an emotional and memorable first dance. However, we have also helped couples choreograph fun dance routines where we have cut and mixed songs together which surprises all the guests! As you can see, we do love a surprise!
What is your number one floor-filler?
Our show ranges from opera to pop and we purposely tailor it so that the show starts with the 'wow' factor and gradually builds to a vibrant party atmosphere! We always get everyone up and dancing no matter the combination of songs but some of our personal favourites are 'All that jazz', the classic 'Abba medley' and 'That's Amore' where we get the entire wedding party swinging their napkins around their heads! Another 'floor filler' but in a different way, is our finale, where everyone stands gobsmacked by our artistes incredible voices! It will make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up!
Which band from the past would you most like to have been part of?
Ooo this is a toughie! As all of our artistes have been leading roles in the West End, most of them would like to have been in those roles in rel life! For example, one of our artistes played 'Scaramouche' in 'We Will Rock You' so they would have loved to have been part of Queen. Another performer has played 'Elvis' in 'Elvis the Musical' so he would have loved to have sung with the King. The Rat Pack is also another obvious favourite and we also have a soft spot for groups such as 'Il Divo'
What is the soundtrack to your life?
We would have to say all of the Musicals and Operas we've been in! Hits from 'Les Miserables', 'Joseph and his Technicolour Dreamcoat', 'The Phantom of the Opera', 'Carmen', 'Grease', 'Evita', 'Beauty and the Beast', 'Street Scene', 'We Will Rock You'...the list goes on!
