What is your most memorable wedding?
Just post covid, we were unable to dance / sing / chant etc, basically we were unable interact in almost anyway. I devised games which were all sit down games, which went down better that you can imagine.
One of the games was a bespoke Mr & Mrs quiz bespoke to the Bride & Groom. It was competitive, as there was a a prize for table who know the Bride & Groom the best. One of the question was "Where did the Bride and Groom met?" Quite a basic question, that everyone would know the answer to.
Going table by table the answer was consistently "The Fox & Hounds", with some tables going for additional points detailing a precise time etc However, I had the real answer.... "Tinder".
The couple had told everyone, including parents, that they met in the pub. This was because of the abuse they felt they would have gotten from everyone for meeting on line, as it has Tinder has such a bad reputation.
The gasps from the entire audience as I revealed the truth, I can still hear the gasps today

What about your business are you most proud of?
Being part of one of the biggest days in a persons life. Giving people memories that will last a lifetime, but not just for the couple all their guests as well.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Your day is about what you want, not living up to anyone else's expectation of what your day should be. Be sure to have the day you want, but it is not worth going into massive debt for it.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
It has to be the couples first dance, father & daughter dance.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Meet, fall in love... but seriously.... I met with a couple normally at a wedding fair....
Then
1. The couple send me an email
2. I respond with all details, inc booking form
3. The couple respond with completed & non-refundable deposit via email
4. Full & final payment sent via bank transfer 2 week before the big day
5. The week of the wedding, I will call to over all lower level details
6. Party!
7. Email from the couple detailing it was awesome
8. I respond requesting public feedback
What makes a romantic first dance?
Not a first dance.... but Father & Daughter dances have me in tears every time. I just can't help it, but have to then pull myself together for making announcements.
What is your number one floor-filler?
Too many - every wedding reception is different, with different musical tastes to be accommodated. What works on a Friday, may not on a Saturday. You have to read the room.
Which band from the past would you most like to have been part of?
A hard question to answer. When pushed I would have to go for the Beatles.
What is the soundtrack to your life?
Music in every form.
